UPDATE

after spending several hours measuring regulators and reading about the specs of vco i have pretty much ruled out any issue with the actual 122.88 osc, looked closer into the 10mhz ref osc and it turns out that even after using an external ref that the same chirpy/watery sounding cw on Tx ...

on Tx OTA,

did the same tests with Orion 2 board and 100D no chirp on tx'd signal

Has anyone had any issues with the 122.88 mhz osc?? 4 yrs ago i replaced the chirpy osc with this https://www.crystek.com/specification/vcxo/CVHD-950.pdf
and its starting again,

tried all kinds of things . DC measurements , fw, sw , switched to Trimble 10 mnhz external GPSDO, same chirp

I dont use the orion with tube amps.
I have ldmos amp for that radio
The driver is like 20w the max i need is 4-5w

100d to 8877 amp abt 15ft ldf4 50 to input

Abt 220ft cable consisting of 170ft ldf6 50 1.25"
A 50ft jumper of 1/2" superflex to 2 el 40m beam

Tower is 125ft away 75ft tall

I removed tuner no difference. Swr on 40 is 1.3:1


I dont see this behaviour on my orion 2 board with identical software ...

So its actually when i release the ptt i see a spike, it has nothing to do with power level
Wavenode power meters are capable of detecting rather quicky any power change

I have not used my 100 D for a while, i have Thetis 2 10 3 7 protocol 1 and the FW on Angelia is 5,4

Is there a setting i have overlooked to prevent a spike when i key the mic or will going to the latest FW ( 5.9) resolve this.

Thanks works perfectly, Its not generally a problem for me IF im am operating one band at a time, like in a sprint, but when i have to jump all over the bands this becomes annoying,

I noticed when i use my Hermes with Thetis for transverter IF , i often go from one band to another following contest contacts ect.
Say i am on 144.200, i change band to 432.100 and want to go back to 2m to the same 2 m previous freq. the freq goes back to 144.250 and not .200
Am i missing something ...

i changed ONE parameter, on the 40M band from 7.125 to 7.040 and the GUI comes up out of band NOW,

must be something else to change as well,

oh well , was worth a try

is there a way to modify or add a specific band plan? in the drop down menu the Canadian band plan is not there.
My N3fjp logging pgm poles freq and select the mode according to the band plan automatically. I have it turned off because i was using the US band plan and as soon as i went below say 7 ...

I reset DB and now W11 works w V 3.4.9 as well as Thesis, It was a socket error which kept popping up, nothing like opening and closing the hood once in a while to do a reset!

hmmm, maybe i should unistall and reinstall 3.4.9 as i did an upgrade from w10 to 11 it gave me a while bunch of errors when i tried to get 349 going

Most IF 's are for 28 your transverter should do 28IF in , 144 out, at least that's what i have.

I use a similar setup with an antique MMT transverter 28 to 144 then 144 to 3456 , the only thing that is sometimes strange is that the GUI will not take anything above 2500mhz, i dont bother i set the ...

I tried using w11 with 3.4.9

it didn't work for me , went to Thesis and its fine,

I wanted to test it and see on a laptop before i upgraded other pc's
