Re: fwd and ref pwr readings stuck on 45 and 50 watts respectively
problem fixed. Finally tracked down the various cables. The fwd pwr and ref pwr voltages are picked up at the Control Board on the Alex Header socket (which may be J1) and go to the Orion Mk2 board at J15. Cable was not seated properly at J15. Apache Labs only provided me with circuits for the Angel...

Re: fwd and ref pwr readings stuck on 45 and 50 watts respectively
Tks Scott. And a special thank you for all the time and effort you put into this website; you must spend hours and hours on it! Yes, I do have the circuits but I have lot of trouble following the inter-connections. Working from memory I mucked up on the pin numbers and location for the control board...

fwd and ref pwr readings stuck on 45 and 50 watts respectively
Hi Guys. I have a problem with my ANAN 8000DLE using Protocol 2 and Thetis 2.9.0 of 4/4/22. I would appreciate some guidance with a problem on the Thetis meter. Operating the PTT and not speaking immediately brings up 45 watts on the FWD power setting or 50 watts on the REF power setting. The SWR re...

Re: 8000 DLE 6 metre LNA
Thank you again Maurizio. Voltage on the output pin on U1 (PGA-103) was down to 0.6 volt (similar voltage on input). replaced U1 and gain is now about 20 dB so all is well. 73 Brian of Barwite

Re: 8000 DLE 6 metre LNA
Thank you so much for your reply Maurizio. It was a very good suggestion to compare RX1 against RX2. On/Off with RX1 LNA gives a 3 Db difference whereas RX2 gives 25 dB difference. I have ordered a PGA-103+ but it will take couple of weeks to get here. I should be able to post outcome in late Januar...

8000 DLE 6 metre LNA
On an 8000DLE what difference should "enable 6 metre LNA" make to signal strength reading. After a summer lightning storm sensitivity seems to have dropped and I am seeing only a 3 dB increase with the LNA enabled and would like some confirmation that it should be more before I start looki...

Re: 2.6.9
Thank you so much for the very considerably effort you have made to help me Richie. I hadn't picked up on the "Thetis Only" option. If I go over to DirectX (from GDI+) , CPU usage goes up. If I increase FPS to 30 (from 20) CPU usage goes up. With DirectX and 30 frames per minute (leaving s...
Re: 2.6.9
Tks Richie and WU2O. As I now have a way of step tuning I will await the update before I try anything else in regard to the keyboard shortcuts.
But in the meantime, back to fighting the seemingly excessive CPU usage.

Re: 2.6.9
Hi Richie. Tks for all your work. I finally upgraded to P2 and Thetis. I notice that the cursor tuning keys don't work. The Left/Right keys still change the tuning steps but the the Up/Down keys don't change the tuning. None of the Tuning shortcuts shown at Setup>keyboard work either. WU2O suggested...

Re: Missing up/down curser key tuning in Thetis 2.0 v2.6.9
Tks WU20. I set driver to directx and checked vsynch. Task Manager now shows that Thetis has gone up to 48 to 53 % CPU usage. I'm guessing that's not quite what you expected.
I will post the curser key problem as you suggested 'cos that is an important function for me.

Missing up/down curser key tuning in Thetis 2.0 v2.6.9
Have finally upgraded to P2 and Thetis 2.0 v2.6.9. Looks like computer isn't up to task. Task Manager showing Thetis running between 30 and 45 % CPU usage when on FT8. i5 with 8 GB RAM in HP Pavilion lap top. Any ideas welcome. BUT, what I really want to know is why cntrl and up/down curser keys don...
