It is still listed on their website and available for preordering ... not sure where you got your info from, but if they had any common sense they would simply list the status on their website.

Re: PTT for K9DUR VoiceKeyer software

I use the K9DUR keyer sometimes, as you found out the only way to get PTT is to set a serial port in K9DUR and since this is a "virtual" port, make a pair in VSPE and use paired port in Thetis.

VSPE is worth the one time cost I think.

Re: Thetis Development Build 2.10.3.6 dev_4 available

After playing some more, I have dropped the trained threshold to -3.0, which is adequate to remove just about all noise, but will allow for very low signals to still come through. In addition, the Auto AGC is not set to 3, which is much lower than I could run before. This also helps with low signals ...

Re: Thetis Development Build 2.10.3.6 dev_4 available

I have found that by using the Trained Threshold (at the default -0.5), any noise is reduced even when setting the AGC threshold down well below the noise. Using Gamma at that AGC threshold always resulted in some noise.

Currently running the trained threshold and NSTAT method, seems to be OK.

Re: Implementation of Pure Signal by Dr. Pratt in other radio

Looks like they are close to shipping the first batch ...

The price seems like a non-starter to me, 5700 euros for a low power TX, I guess we'll see how it pans out. I wish the price was lower and have compatibility with Thetis, in case their SW is problematic.

Re: cmASIO feature in Thetis

I tried Lockmode, but that produces some issues.

My only question, is a value of 1 valid and the lowest possible for ASIOblocknum? One post earlier seemed to imply that a value of 2 was the lowest option. Or does it go all the way down to 0?

Thanks,

Re: cmASIO feature in Thetis

Looking at the UMC options panel (I am new to this ...) it will always go to 48k sample rate and 64 buffer size. So, those seem fixed.

There is an option to uncheck "Safe Mode", doing this reduces the output latency reported by the UMC control panel from 144 samples down to 48 samples, saving 2 ...

Re: cmASIO feature in Thetis

Thanks, that is what I thought. Since each sample block is 64 bits, I assume that our audio interface ASIO buffer setting must match that, in other words there is no benefit in reducing it. Or in increasing the sample rate above 48k.

My setup is a UMC202HD directly to the 7000DLE Mk II.

Re: cmASIO feature in Thetis

Perhaps this is buried in the thread somewhere, if you do not set a registry entry for ASIOblocknum, does it default to 5 somehow?

If we set an entry and try to reduce it, what issues are we trying to observe if it is set too low? Subjective audio issue, or the cm indicator turning red ...

Re: Stream Deck Plus, Again

I have mine set up differently now. All buttons and knobs are using Channel 1. I only have a MIDI port of A set up, there seems no need for a B port as data is never pushed back to the SD.

For buttons I use Note On/Off SD Midi Command, and set the key to something unique it ranges from 0 to 127 ...

I'm new to the whole Streamdeck thing ... I have a Streamdeck plus working ... sort of.

On Thetis there are "Id"s ...

Re: Is it worth upgrading from early 100D/200D rigs to latest Anan hardware?

If your 200D runs P2 well I would not upgrade. If a used 7000DLE Mk2 came along at a fair price, maybe. There were some TX chain upgrades, but I don’t recall them being that important.

I don’t see any value in upgrading to the G2 at all.

Re: Wishlist >>Transmit noise reduction.

It is a useful request and allowing NR2 on TX would help in noisy situations. DEXP won’t help high levels of room noise. The SunSDR TX noise reduction works well. If you have the Blue USB microphone with their tools it will also work well.

The main reason is he ordered a G2, which is shipping and only a 100W radio, which they know how to build.

The higher power radios are not shipping, to anyone. Personally I think they will have a major struggle getting 1kW radios shipping, and even if they do will they have major reliability ...

Re: Diversity Operations - RX2 protection while transmitting

Even if it is "grounded", there are lead/trace inductances, which will result in finite isolation. Selecting it to be grounded is a good idea, but should not be relied upon for protection when QRO using multiple antennas.

Personally I use a relay/sequencer AND a DXE receiver guard ...

I am also interested in how the G2 compares in these areas:

- Ethernet SEQ errors, using higher sample rates ...

You should look into sending it to Doug for a warranty repair as needed. Apache should make sure the occasional P2 timing problem gets resolved. Most of us have only minor P2 issues, mainly at wide BWs, but not enough to really hinder operating.

Does anyone know if the old bug when Auto AGC was used that the S-ATT setting which might have been used to improve dynamic range was ignored? I could not find it in the latest few versions bug lists.

My relatively new 7000 has a ribbon cable that you can hear shift when you turn it upside down. They told me not to worry about it. Not sure if that is the type of sound you are hearing.
