Re: Headphone Jacks Not Working on Anan 7000 DLE MK2
Thanks for the reply. It was the Master AF. I'm aware that my version of Thetis is old. The SSD in my new Windows 11 computer just failed. This was my main computer and had the latest 64 bit version of Thetis. As a result I had to temporarily go back to my 32 bit Windows 7 computer with the old vers...

Headphone Jacks Not Working on Anan 7000 DLE MK2
I have an early version of the Anan 7000 DLE MK2 with the gray cabinet and brushed aluminum front panel. Suddenly the headphone jacks on both the front and rear panels stopped working in receive. They do work for the monitor function when transmitting. As an experiment I changed the database to an e...

I forgot to mention that I am considering the Alinco DM-330MVT. Any comments good or bad?

Need Switching Power Supply Recommendation
I would like to purchase a switching power supply to use with my Anan 7000dle mk2. This is for my backup station that I only operate during the summer. My primary station is using a linear supply.
Thanks,
Ron

Looking for Laptop Recommendation
I'm looking for recommendations for a new laptop to connect to my Anan 7000 dle mk2 using my lan. I would like to keep the price at $1,000 maximum. I also would appreciate any advice on what to look for in a new laptop to run my Anan.
Thanks,
Ron

Re: ASIO Driver Not Working
I should have answered this from the beginning. You are right in that Thetis provides lots of flexibility with audio and my radio sounds great with it. However, I do like to experiment and have talked with several operators who used Reaper to provide a very small amount of reverb to their audio whic...

Re: ASIO Driver Not Working
I got around the VAC latency issue by directing the output of Voicemeeter to my outboard Delta 44 sound card and connecting its analog output to the mic input of the Anan. There was no change in sound quality and the latency is now around 200ms which is acceptable to me. Thanks for your inputs. Ron ...

Re: ASIO Driver Not Working
The issue is not Reaper where I'm only using 2 plug-ins. The delay through Reaper is 115ms which I know is more than it should be but the major delay is from Voicemeeter to the Rf output of the Anan where the delay is around 600ms. Could it be that my computer is the issue? I don't know. Something i...

Re: ASIO Driver Not Working
Sorry, I forgot to mention that I don't have an ASIO sound device. However, I just spoke with an Anan operator, VA3ZW who is using VAC with the MME driver and he has very little latency so I don't think I really need an ASIO driver. He is not using the VM interface but instead is using VB Audio Cabl...

Re: ASIO Driver Not Working
I just tried the WDM-ks driver and it didn't work. I now see my mic in the drop-down list as an input to VAC but even that doesn't work so I switched back to WDM and it once again works with huge latency. I suspect that I'm doing something wrong. The 600ms latency is real. I have to actually wait fo...

ASIO Driver Not Working
I am trying to lower the VAC latency for use with Reaper and VM Potato with my Anan but the only driver that works is MME. The approx. latency using MME is around 115ms for VM Potato which is accepatble to me but then another 600ms through the VAC input of the Anan which is way too long. My understa...

Re: Diversity Suddenly Stopped Working
Of course I tried turning the radio off and on and reloading the software but what I didn't try was to re-boot the computer which I just did. Diversity is now working. Thanks.

Diversity Suddenly Stopped Working
Diversity suddenly stopped working on my 7000dle mk2. When I engage it the receiver goes silent and the panadapter freezes. I am using version 2.8.11 of Thetis but I also tried it on version 2.6.9 with the same result. RX2 still works fine by itself but not with diversity. If I turn on diversity wit...

CFC Stays On with Over-the-Air Record Playback
I noticed that when playing back a recording over the air, the TX EQ is disabled during playback as it should be but that the CFC is still enabled which then alters the over-the-air playback of the recording. You have to manually uncheck the CFC boxes to correct this. I am using Thetis V2.7.0. Perha...

Re: Noise Bump on 60M Ch 2
You're correct. With the antenna connected on 60 meters the bump is barely noticable above the noise floor. I just think that it's strange that spurs were not cleaned up prior to final design release. Anyway, this is certainly not an operating issue for me.

Noise Bump on 60M Ch 2
I switched over to 60 meters for the first time on my Anan 7000 dle mk2 and noticed what appears to be a rather substantial noise bump on Ch 2. It appears to be FMing slightly and is also visible without my antenna connected. The attached image was taken with my dummy load connected.

Re: Wave File Options Menu Missing
Thanks Joe. I'll check it out again when I finally upgrade to 2.7.0. Meanwhile, I still use it as is. I record a file then listen to the transmit playback of the file using the monitor function while transmitting into my dummy load. To listen at different bandwidths, I simply change my transmit band...

Scale was set to 100%. If I set it to 150% everything on the screen is overblown but I still don't get the Options Menu in Wave File Recorder. Wave File Options Menu Missing
I recently installed Thetis V2.6.9 with Protocol 2 v1.9 with Windows 7 and it appears to be working properly. However, the options menu is missing from the wave file recorder. PowerSDR mrx did have the options menu. Any ideas?

Re: Fatal Error After Database Import
Thanks everyone. Thetis is now operating properly after correcting the imported database. I have now gone through a complete calibration of transmit power levels, receive calibration level (-73dbm) and on -the-air checks and have found no issues at this time. I have also imported my transmit profile...

Re: Fatal Error After Database Import
I just noticed that there is an archive database folder in the Thetis directory. I replaced database.xml with this file and I no longer get the fatal error. I will now check out the radio and see if there are any other issues.
Thanks,

Re: Fatal Error After Database Import
Since this was a new install, the database that was in the Thetis folder is the default database, not the one that I imported but I still get the same fatal error message. I suspect that it may work if I do a clean install where the computer goes through the optimization routine but I don't know how...

Fatal Error After Database Import
Today I installed the latest versions of Thetis and Protocol V2 into my Anan 7000dle mk2 with no issues. The radio appeared to be working properly. I then imported my saved database from Open HPSDR and then got a Fatal Error message. At this point I deleted Thetis and reinstalled it and still got th...

Re: AM stereo?
Rob, You mentioned that the Q effect on AM/SAM has always been there going back to the Flex version of PowerSDR. During the 12 years that I used my Flex 1000 I never noticed any change in audio quality when narrowing one edge of the panadapter on AM. I used many versions of Power SDR over the years ...
