Re: Enable CAT Grayed-Out
I just looked at your manual. Section 7.4 would benefit from some expansion. Note the hot links below for the URLs... . . VSPM is another free (to hams) option. However it has only the most basic capabilities and has not proven to be as stable for me as the other choices. Scott, Not sure what you m...

Re: P2 Coherent Diversity Issue
Thetis 2.8.11 Have tried P2 FW from V1.2 to V2.0b . . If I click diversity on/off/on ... over and over, sooner or later when turning it off the RX1 noise floor is elevated by 40-50 dB. I found that clicking diversity on and off repeatedly could induce the issue. It also occurs when not doing that a...

Re: Noise cancelling / Phasing using diversity
I use Diversity often to eliminate single-point noise sources, it works superbly. I was using it on 40 meters today to remove a roughly 3khz-wide 30db spike and was easily able to remove literally all evidence of the intruder from the panafall and the received audio....and there was a faint QSO hidd...

Flatlander, I tried to send this to you as a PM but for some reason this forum has never let me send a PM (whenever I try to send something it just sits forever in my Outbox and never actually gets sent). Here's a link to my latest 7000DLE MKII database: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1x58NmIDSOOQh...

With these radios there's no need to park them on the bench. I've got my black 7K located in a corner of the shack behind a 1/2" drywall partition. I can't hear the fan at all.
Just something to consider.

Re: VAC toggles off when AM or SAM mode selected
The problem is that the mic that you last associated with AM mode is remembered for that mode (as it also is for the LSB and USB modes), and all of the settings specific to that mic's Profile get reinstated every time you change to that mode. So Save the Transmit Profile for the mic in question afte...

Another idea, you might import a previously saved database if you have one, so you'll be back to the audio settings that you know were working at that earlier point in time.

Re: Anan-8000 no audio
As a sanity check, perform the following test:
Transmit into a dummy load by speaking into the mic while the TX multimeter is set to Fwd Pwr. If the mic is working at all you should see some power reported.

Welcome Tim!
You've come to the right place, there's lots of good help in this forum.
The system you propose should work fine, but make sure your ethernet card is gigabit capable.

Re: 32 vs 64 bits
Hi Phil, Running Thetis v2.8.11, Protocol 2, sample rate is 768K. When I was running 32 bit Thetis (prior to 2.8.11) I typically saw roughly 13-15% system load running RX1 alone. When I went to 64 bit I saw a drop in load to roughly 9-10%. When I add RX2 it goes up to maybe 12-13%. When I add HRD an...

I use Bitdefender Antivirus free edition, it's very low overhead and doesn't seem to interfere with Thetis or any other use of the PC (I have Thetis added to Bitdefender's exclude list).

Thanks,

Not having any more information than you gave us, there are a number of variables that could be contributing. 1) Where are you connecting the other voltmeters you're referencing? Directly at the power supply? That's not where your radio is connected (it's connected at the other end of the power cord...

I use Bitdefender Antivirus Free, it's very low overhead (much lower than Windows Defender) and doesn't appear to openly interfere with any aspect of use of the PC.
Edit: I have Bitdefender set up to Exclude Thetis from the things it's watching.
