Re: Automatic ID feature built into Thetis
Already using RoMac Id'r and you can set it to sync with the PC clock OR you can set your own start time even has a wait to un key option, Audio file playback or CW. I would just love to see this type of capability built into Thetis :) :D Maybe it can be combined with the built in Timer Reminder fea...

Re: Automatic ID feature built into Thetis
The timer feature is helpful, but it would be nice to have an Automatic ID that transmits the users (call sign) ID over the air as CW or Audio file and waterfall ID would be very cool.
I love what Darren KE9NS has done with PowerSDR.

Automatic ID feature built into Thetis
It would be nice to have an Automatic ID feature added to Thetis.
Here is a video of this feature that Darren KE9NS added to Power SDR for the Flex 5000 about 7 years ago.

Re: G2 Power On and Off Procedure
Important! Remember to turn off your DC power supply when the radio is not in use. (Or the G2’s internal power supply will overheat due to the internal fan in the G2 not running when radio is in Off/Standby mode) There is nothing in the official manual about turning off your DC power supply. https:...

Re: G2 distorted audio using TRS and standard mic input
What was the rationale for 20dB of gain? The CODEC IC already has piles of available gain. Why not 3dB or even 0dB (unity) gain? I guess they thought since some microphones have low output like a Shure SM-7B having the extra gain would allow the user to plug the mic right into the radio without nee...

Re: G2 distorted audio using TRS and standard mic input
I know that some Op Amps need external compensation caps to block RF like from getting amplified or going into oscillation. Question: Do the new G2 radio now ship with the clamp on ferrite on the balanced mic cable in the radio? If so since my G2 is from the first run I don’t have one in mine, I wil...

Hello, I was scammed when trying to buy G2 from Apache Labs; I paid For G2, money was transferred to the company to find out that the company email server was hacked and that part of the money was sent to a fraudulent account. So far, the company CEO has failed to take responsibility. I would like ...

Re: G2 Software and Firmware Updates
Although I don't have the skills there must to be a way to create a small updater application to automate Firmware/Software updates on the G2 radios. I agree its good to learn Linux but I believe there would be less chance of people possibly bricking their radios and also cut down on people asking ...

Re: G2 Raspberry Pi5
Will changing the Pi4 to Pi5 just be a matter of just swapping boards. Just unplug and swap boards?
I understand there is the software installation part of the swap but just wanted to understand how one would upgrade to Pi5 computer.

I wonder if most of this setup will be made easier in the future with some dropdown menus similar to how you set up VAC?
Anyway it's just nice to see ASIO in Thetis!
Thank You Thetis Dev team!!

Re: cmASIO feature in Thetis 2.10.3.5 pre 3
So if I understand this correct, the cm ASIO now allows you to assign the mic input in Thetis directly to an ASIO audio interface so you don't have to use VAC ?
Can someone post the Notes about this new feature and what it does in this thread?

To power On the G2: -First turn on your DC power supply. -Quick Press the power button on G2 radio and wait for light to turn RED. Once the lig...

Re: A few G2 hardware questions
Thanks for the info Scott! OK TRS balanced input is 20k ohms. Looks like the input is high gain and will take quite a bit of input. I wonder how much audio input it takes to just start to activate ALC in the PA (Unity Gain)? For the FAN I guess it's a standard 2 wire 120mm 12vdc pc case fan. Would l...
