Re: Error starting SDR hardware.

The instructions are very detailed. Simply follow them. It would seem you made it to step 6. Just do what it says. Again, the IP should be set to 0.0.0.0 if you are using DHCP (which is my guess since you still haven't told us). 6. Click "Test for Bootloader". Bootloader should discover t...

Re: Error starting SDR hardware.

OK, that's good news, and eliminates a lot of issues. I'm guessing that you just need to set the IP address on the new 7000. One question before discussing that: is the old 7000 running Protocol 2? I'm just asking to see if we can be 100% sure to rule out any missing GigE parts or pieces. With resp...

Re: Error starting SDR hardware.

Wayne, There's a 100 things that could be wrong. So it's going to be a process of elimination. And you say you know nothing about Windows so that's going to make it tougher. Question: does the GigE switch connect to a router and the internet? Step 1, new NUC network config--You should not have had ...

Re: Error starting SDR hardware.

I have a similar problem I recently acquired a 7000mkll with serial ending 518A so late model . I have a 7000mkll with built in NUC that connects and works perfectly ,using Cat 6 cable from router to Gigabit switch and cat 6 cables to radio and built in NUC. Re: Controller V2

OK,now I am more confused than ever. Are you saying that I can't have the radio running using Thetis ,at the same time that I have the controller connected via the switch and running ? I only wanted it as a remote receiver that I could use in another part of the house ,and move back to the shack if ...

Re: Controller V2

Hi Erik I am trying to connect using the built in computer in the 7000 mk11. I have a cat 6 Lan cable connected to a gigabyte switch ,then cat 6 cables connected to both of the Lan connections at the rear of the radio and inbuilt computer. This works fine and allows me to connect my logging program ...

Re: Controller V2

Ok ,I am sure I am doing something very simple, very wrong. I just connected up my new V2 controller ,as in the user guide. And it shows the correct protocol,IP address and MAC address ,all the same as shown in the radio setup. It doesn't connect to the radio ! I have a 7000DLEMK11 with built in i7 n...

Re: Sudden increase in noise floor level

Elevated noise floors like this are a common symptom of firmware not working on your hardware. More specifically, in the vernacular of firmware engineering, "it does not make timing", or "does not achieve timing closure". Probably more than you want to know here . Unfortunately,...

Unfortunately NO .I bought the radio second hand and everything was loaded as it is now, have no idea if it has worked since I have had it .

Re: Sudden increase in noise floor level

Here is an image of the noise ,it follows my transmissions , and the noise is horrendous ,buzzing hammering noise . IMG_2064.jpg . Not sure of what you mean by firmware "not making timing on your specific hardware". Or what to do to rectify it ? I have also found that my drive output varie...

Sudden increase in noise floor level

My 7000 DLE Mk2 with inbuilt NUC, running protocol 2 and Thetis v2.8.11; has been working very well for a couple of weeks, although I haven't been able to integrate CAT control to my logging program (Log4OM). Yesterday after setting up a new transmit profile , I was happy with how it turned out . I ...
