Thanks Scott I didn't realise that I could move the second screen under the first one and thus enable the mouse to go straight up and down between screens...thanks ! That shows how familiar I am with window 10/11.

Re: setup refusing to open window
Hi Scott,
What I’m doing is to have my big wide screen driven only by the ‘radio’ PC and Thetis. A second smaller screen is connected to both Thetis and my ‘shack’ computer using a HDMI switch box with the default to the ‘radio’ PC. I have set it up so that my mouse can travel off the RHS of the ...

Ok, I think that I have the issue that I was having reduced down to being able to cause it and recover from it at will.

Yes thanks Scott I have managed to get into the database manager. I will set-up a new “clean” data base. Along the way more evidence has emerged, I run a shared screen between the radio computer and the “shack” computer via a hdmi switch. My issues appear to be linked to which order the two are ...

Hi to all,
I've run into an annoying issue with startup...when I try to run it from the setup pull-down it goes straight into minimised form and won't expand when I click on its minimised icon.

I've been having the occasional sequence error (2 or 3 per hour)...usually 264 or 265. I have ignored them since the radio recovers after a couple of seconds, and I wasn't sure when they had started ......been changing hardware connections and also continuously upgrading Thetis for quite awhile.

FM transmit scaling changes
Hi all,
I operate once a week on 6 metres FM on a local repeater. I have scaled my output to 50 Watts max and when I operate my tune function (have a slider to set value) I can set the output from zero to 50 Watts. Thats all fine......but when I go to transmit I set my power output (another slider ...

Re: cmASIO Why Not Everyone
Thanks for the comments. I have had less than stellar results using VAC. So for me cmASIO was a very welcome solution. Is there another way to get good latency without using cmASIO or a proper A to D ?

Re: cmASIO Why Not Everyone
Vin you're not the only one. I am in the same "boat", I finally shelled out for a "proper" audio interface and have been using cmASIO ever since. The irony is that I don't use the UMC 202HD at all. It sits there on the shelf connected into the computor via its USB connection. I use my favourite USB ...

Re: GPSDO Tutorial?
All noted and accepted. I didn't want to use a GPS directly because having been hit (the house) by lightning twice over the years I'm rather allergic to having too many aerials connected in my shack. So having a OXCO not connected to the outside world was preferable. I could use a GPS yes but its ...

Re: GPSDO Tutorial?
Well I didn't know there was actually a law relating to my issue " Segals law" but its true enough. All I wanted to do was to set up my oscillator (out of a serious GPSDO) to an accurate 10 MHz to use on my 7000 mkII.
It turns out that its not a simple task.

Tests that I've done imply that the 10MHz signals from the GPS satellites are changing frequency randomly by small amounts.

Use Midi for Thetis and Voicemeeter
I have and use a Hercules DJ controller with Thetis on my 7000 mkII. I also use Voicemeeter Banana and am using CMASIO to connect the two. When upgrading Banana to the latest version 2.1.1.1 I noticed that Banana will accept midi inputs. I have tried to set midi commands using by the Hercules ...

Picture of 7000 board showing jumpers 22 and 24
Hi I'm busy contemplating opening up my 7000 mkII to add the jumpers 22 and 24 to ground and put 50 ohms into the 10 meg external reference circuit. Two things.....has anyone got a photo of the board area in question that they can share, and what size/spacing are the jumpers ?

I have just purchased a new behringer UMC 202HD and have been trying to get it work with my 7000 mkII.

Re: Changing Windows 10 Network Throttling Index for Better Performance
Scott adding in the UMC drivers doesn't affect the throttling index so for me Voicemeeter was the culprit.
I'm going to open an other discussion about what I think is my problem.

Scott, things are getting interesting. I've just booted from original drive that was "parked" (no power to the original drive but power to the clone), that was isolated just prior to adding the UMC drivers and Voicemeeter Matrix.
