Re: Having more than one Thetis program on desktop at a time

I don't have that problem, using 2.10.3.6rc1 for ANAN and latest HL2 release.

Re: Having more than one Thetis program on desktop at a time

Hi Don, answer is YES

Below is how it can be done, but the new database manager can create a separate database for each radio I believe but have not explored this.

Say that Thetis is installed on your C drive, two directories you are going to be working with are :C\Program Files\OpenHPSDR and C ...

Re: USB/BCD Cable option in OC Control

Thanks for your post Joe.

Reporting back that I can control the VK-AMP by checking the USB/BCD cable option. PC USB to Amp DB9 for band control.
This provides an alternative to making a OC cable ANAN to Amp for band control.

I used this FTDI cable

In the mentioned topic Richard KI4P was playing with a relay board.

Looks like this should meet my requirement, will have a go and report back.

Re: USB/BCD Cable option in OC Control

Thanks Scott
I did see that and get the impression that its software generated and nothing to do with the hardware OC pins. Correct?

If so would be easier than making a OC cable to get band data into a VK-AMP I just put together. VK-AMP uses Yaesu BCD code.

USB/BCD Cable option in OC Control

Question. Is the USB/BCD Cable option a software emulation for the J16 OC pins?

Like to understand how I can make use of this.

Thanks Andrew

Re: piHPSDR - DL1YCF running on a PC

I have piHPSDR on two Mint 21.2 PC's and both sound good.

The only difference that I have noticed is lower power output with the same mice gain compared to Thetis.

Re: SEQ errors 7000Mk2 all of a suden

Hi Scott,
I do think that it is the cable, not the conductors but slightly sloppy plug and socket. The spare CAT8 cable is no better, don't like it as it is very stiff.
Using a flat CAT 7 cable but will get a replacement.

For a brief moment I was blaming the Windows update as I read on the forum ...

SEQ errors 7000Mk2 all of a suden

Have not seen any SEQ errors for almost three years, then two weeks ago I had two consecutive days of errors appearing also Thetis freeze a couple of times. CPU load is very low with Ryzen 7, direct connection to the PC.
Same problem with piHPSDR on linux PC.

Problem went away for a week and now ...

Re: Windows 11 22H2 and Network Throttling hack

Windows update reset the throttling index here as well, the builtin setting feature took care off it.

The other thing I notice is the System CPU usage display in Thetis is incorrect now, flickering between 0 to 1%.
In resmon system is using 6%, also according to resmon Thetis is now using 0.3 ...

Re: What Laptop?

Hi Scott, I just came across your question here.
No I haven't set up a dedicated NIC, my desktop has been running perfectly since the throttling index mod, even before that seq errors were rare so I felt no need.

The note book is purely as a temporary back up and is fine for that purpose.

Re: What Laptop?

Elan, I can not say that my Lenovo IdeaPad 5 14ARE05 works perfectly as I do see regular SEQ errors. But this has never caused any issues, so for me as a backup only note book it is good enough. I would want something better if it was running my ANAN full time.
It has a 6 core CPU and Thetis uses 10 ...

Thanks Larry,
I hear what you say about not fooling around with old OS. Reason for asking was that I happen to have an old i5-4570 PC and unused Win8 Pro so I thought I might see how it behaves with Thetis. Will not be going online.

Lenovo PC's No Good ????

1. Is there any truth to the assertion that Lenovo brand is a poor choice for ANNAN and Thetis.

I have heard this statement and that Dell is a very good choice.

The reason for asking is that I am considering in getting another PC for my station.

Currently using a Lenovo SFF with Ryzen 7 ...

Just wondering if you solved your issue with the 1.3K-FA and Pure Signal.

Re: Can not see entire Thetis screen on my Notebook

More Info
As the notebook is only a back up for Thetis I reset the scaling factor back to 100 and confirmed the issue came back.
Today I was back in the settings and noticed that 150 (scaling) was now being recommended, I set it to that but it was no different.
So again went back to 100 and this ...
