Re: N1MM: Radio goes into TX mode when in S&P mode

George,

All is well. Also, I am using the latest default macros (for use in the CQ WPX contest).

Roger that Mark!

I did find a very good video posted by Richie, explaining some of the things I was wondering about.

Re: Thetis v.2.10.3.4 x64 - Advanced VAC Controls

I would still like someone to answer my questions about the controls and also comment on the image :)

I have seen yours Mark, and it looks much different and I assume that what yours looks like is more in line with what it should
look like?

Hi Mark,

Hey, I appreciate that. Will review.

Are you using cmASIO?

Let's get on 40 some time :-)!

Re: Thetis v.2.10.3.4 x64 - Advanced VAC Controls

James, Thanks for flagging this. I have used VAC as most of my audio processing is done on the same PC that Thetis runs on, in a Digital Audio Workstation, DAW. I believe that the Thetis version that I run doesn't provide cmASIO capabilities so I would need to upgrade to the latest Thetis version to...

Thetis v.2.10.3.4 x64 - Advanced VAC Controls

I wanted to revisit an old topic that had many excellent posts regarding Advanced VAC Controls/Parameter, I believe assuming using Thetis v2.8.11-21+++ , but would someone answer my questions below. Apologies if I missed posts in that (other) thread that provided answers. 1. On the Audio/VAC1 form, ...

Compatibility of Thetis versions with Protocol 2 versions

Just for kicks, I went to v2.2.1 Protocol 2 version and while it is too early to tell, it seems like I am getting larger over/underflow numbers than when I was on v.2.1.18 Protocol 2. Also, I am hearing audio drop-outs on receive (not sure if the same is true on transmit at this point) which were no...

Re: N1MM: Radio goes into TX mode when in S&P mode

Scott, No RFI, something else with parameters. Making progress.

Sam,

Thanks for the link. Great that you did that. Just need to look very carefully at the screen, to see it all (using reading glasses).
I forget now if you are using a WinKeyer.

Re: Firmware fix for RF appearing on RX only ports

Richie's comment at https://github.com/ramdor/Thetis/issues/228 on Oct 24,2023 and, particularly, where he states "This only happens in CW mode as the internal TRX clack back and forth with semi break in delays of approx 250 ms" is huge! As others have pointed out, I really should update t...

Re: Firmware fix for RF appearing on RX only ports

Apologies for redundancy as I posted this response to Norbert - DL8LAQ - in the main Thetis forum. Wanted to repost here. Below, see the software and P2 versions I am using with my ANAN 7000 DLE MKII (it has the EP4CGX150F896 Cyclone IV series FPGA) Thetis v2.10.4.3 x64 Protocol 2 v2.1.18 If I under...

Re: Strange CW behavior al of a sudden

Thank you Paul! Well, yes, you provided a little more info than I expected  ! Not possessing an oscilloscope, I am wondering, perhaps I forgo using WinKeyer altogether and stick with using my external paddle and work CW contests without macros at all (yes, that won't be ideal to say the least),...

Re: N1MM: Radio goes into TX mode when in S&P mode

Scott, WinKeyer is plugged into the front of the unit, and my iambic paddle is plugged into WinKeyer (just like it says in the instructions). WinKeyer has been specified inside N1MM as the keyer, with the Iambic paddle inside Thetis disabled. WinKeyer communicates with the PC via COM5. I haven't had...

N1MM: Radio goes into TX mode when in S&P mode

Been pulling my hair out (fortunately, I have some hair to pull out) over this strange phenomenon. Planning to use a WinKeyer in the CQ WPX contest this week-end and I thought I had it all working smoothly, BUT......NO. Running Morse Runner in N1MM, at first "Run" mode and then I decided t...

WinKeyer: Recommended PTT Lead and Tail times

I would be curious to learn which PTT Lead and Tail times you are using on the WinKeyer? Currently using a tube amp (vacuum relay, not PIN diode), but I also have a SS amp which has PIN diode for keying the amp. Then you have delay parameters inside Thetis for CW as well and they need to "jive&...

Re: Strange CW behavior al of a sudden

Hi Stephen, Actually, I tried that too. Took WinKeyer out of the circuit and plugged my paddle straight into the front of the radio (enabled iambic keyer inside Thetis) and the radio went into TX mode immediately........That anomaly hadn't taken place ever before. WinKeyer is talking to the PC via C...

Re: Strange CW behavior al of a sudden

WinKeyer is plugged into KEY, in the front of the radio (just like my paddle was connected before, using the built-in iambic keyer). Below, see the DSP/CW form as it stands now. Never messed with this form and I have operated on CW without any issues for a long time. Although, I had never used WinKe...

Strange CW behavior al of a sudden

Been enjoying use of my WinKeyer, in anticipation of an upcoming contest. I have disabled or unchecked the Iambic in Thetis and don't even need the side-tone to be enabled. Now, all of a sudden, the TX keyed although I didn't do anything with the paddle. As soon as I switch to USB, the TX doesn't pu...

Re: Automatic ID feature built into Thetis

I think that on the "General" form, Option 2, you can define the way Automatic ID works. I would imagine that the source file of audio can be voice and/or CW for instance.

What RF Delay (mine is set at 100) are you using? I see my PTT Delay is 0!

Old CW keying topic revisited

Getting ready to operate in a big CW contest in May and exploring my options as far as keying the radio on CW is concerned. I would like additional feedback from die-hard CW operators, especially those who are heavy into contesting! Note that I am using a Solid State amplifier and will not want to s...

Re: "Conflict" between TCI and TCP?

My screen-capture SW failed so I am inserting images using capture feature of Windows which explains partial redundancy. I believe that the IP addresses on the N1MM "Broadcasting" aren't correct at all which is caused by my lack of understanding of IP/Ports. :( The error message clearly sa...

"Conflict" between TCI and TCP?

I did have my N1MM+ logging work pretty well about a year ago. Will retrace the steps I took to see what the mistake is that I will have committed. From memory, I think that I operated my SS amp using either RF sensing or CAT control, NOT TCI, which may explain why I got it all to work. The amp, The...
