Re: cmASIO feature in Thetis

A bit late to the party here. Just now setting up cmASIO in 2.10.3.6 dev per the published guidance. Using PreSonus 192 Mobile but Voicemeeter only for digital modes. So far, working as expected with no issues.

Re: Running Thetis 2.10.1 with the TRX DUO transceiver

Is there a protocol-2 image for the TRX DUO / Red Pitaya yet?

I am only a few days into using this radio. So far, I am unaware of Protocol 2 firmware being available. Perhaps others can provide a more definitive answer to your question.

Running Thetis 2.10.1 with the TRX DUO transceiver

I recently acquired a TRX DUO xcvr from China via AliExpress. This radio is compatible with Thetis out of the box with the addition of appropriate firmware. Protocol 1 firmware is implemented in Linux Alpine, a lightweight version of Linux, and installs via a microSD card. While there is minimal doc...

Re: Microphone/ Audio Interface Options

Just purchased a PreSonus 192 Mobile on Reverb in "new" condition for $175 (including the WU2O seal of approval!); as represented and works well. There are several of these currently listed in the $200-$250 range, and some as high as $599. https://reverb.com/p/presonus-studio-192-mobile-us...

Re: Dynamic vs. Condenser Microphone

I am using both an EV RE27 and Behringer B1 condenser mic with my 7000DLE Mk II and getting excellent results with both using VAC only. The room in which my station is located is large and not acoustically "friendly" due to high ceilings and bare walls/floors, but the room noise level is g...

Re: Understanding G7KLJ 2.9.0.11 release

Steve has made great progress and done a lot of hard work developing. I would hate to see him stop and be discouraged by someone else's actions.

Strongly agree. I have no idea at this point what is behind Steve's thinking/actions.

What's the deal with the Parallel Universe and another Branch? Not at all sure what is meant by this cryptic question. However, if you are referring to the Thetis modifications I have made to the 2.9.0.8 and 2.9.0.30 releases to support Acom amps and tuners, please be aware that these are in a loca...

Where did this release come from, please?

Jeff,

When I cloned the G7KLJ repository to my computer about 10 days ago, this was the latest release available. It now appears that Steve has turned off all of his releases.

Thetis Modifications to Support Acom 1200S/700S/600S Amps and 04AT/06AT Tuners

A little more than a year ago I acquired an ANAN 7000DLE Mk II around which to build a new station. My initial focus was on learning the radio; once I had the radio working well, I moved on to build out the station by adding an Acom 1200S amp and companion 04AT tuner which I had owned for several ye...

You need a serial port or a USB to serial adapter on your PC to connect the Lux with the PC. Thanks for the speedy response. This is where things get a little fuzzy for me. Is the cable from the LUX Band Data connector to the serial port a straight through RS-232 cable or something else? My amp is ...

Re: Any one using KM3KM amplifier

I am intending to acquire a Mercury LUX amp to use with my ANAN-7000DLE Mk II PROVIDED I can use the LUX Band Data connection to have the amp follow xcvr frequency changes. Specifically, I don't want to use RF sensing for this purpose. Anyone doing this? If so, can you describe the connections used ...

In my original post on this topic I indicated that I had placed my Telepost sampler/coupler at the output of my Acom 04AT tuner out of concern for the tuner 26VDC power and 60 Hz FSK signaling which appear on the coax between the amp and tuner having implications for PS as a result of appearing on t...

I often get excellent audio reports with several different mics on my AL7K: Behringer B1, EV RE27, PR40, and even the Behringer XM8500, a $25 mic, using virtual audio in every case, and with no outboard audio processing. It does take some experimenting with the Thetis TX audio setup to get mic, oper...

That's how I'm set up and it works great (I have a Presonus Studio 192 Mobile and JBL LSR305's).

Thanks, Scott. Was hoping to solve this with a few clicks of the mouse (no additional cables) but maybe not. I'll give this a try.
