Re: Implementation of Pure Signal by Dr. Pratt in other radio

It appears they claim the software OL Master is GNU GPL v2/v3, but that the hardware is 100% proprietary. Very interesting. Someone more knowledgeable than me can chime in.

Re: Thetis Development Build 2.10.3.6 dev_6 available

Hey all,

I have just released dev_6 (updated to dev_6b ). I was going to hold off for a week or so, but with the nature of some of the recent fixes I felt it worth while in doing a build release. Notes are below.

Thanks to all that gave feedback and found issues in the last one. I am working on ...

Re: Implementation of Pure Signal by Dr. Pratt in other radio

This needs way more attention than it's getting right now. Ripping off the hard work of the FOSS community and then commercializing and privatizing the results is wrong .

This sort of abusive behavior is exactly why projects go closed-source, to the detriment of all mankind. Shame on them.

Thankfully, RF is visually blind. Some of best performing devices I've measured are aesthetic nightmares (and vice versa).

I've no idea about the KM3KM sampler but it's likely a local project from Miami. My understanding is the Lux and Mercury III amps are designed by RZ1ZR (not just the LCD ...

Re: cmASIO Why Not Everyone

cmASIO vs. a well tuned WASAPI setup offers very little other than an additional interface.
ASIO is an older spec, is supported by way fewer interfaces, and is generally kind of a pain in the neck.

cmASIO doesn't give any any latency improvement, or anything else, so why bother.

For the station ...

Hi all,

Can anybody confirm that that G2 has the TLV320AIC3204 codec implemented , and where on the PCB, and whether there is a direct jump point to pick up the line in pins e.g 13,14,15,16 . I cant seem to find any G2 circuit diagrams available. Looking at the physical board maybe J56 facilitates ...

Go check the auto AGC offsets, their behavior changed in the last update. You'll need to reset and find what works for you.

I am also having an issue where when the radio has been operating for some time, then I close Thetis and come back and operate later....I seem to have very low RX signal level even if I change bands. I must physically power off the radio to recover normal signal levels.

I think I have this very same issue on the EP4CE 7000...not sure if we can take a look at that too. Usually it starts up on one frequency, then after transmitting it'll suddenly have a different frequency reference some 200 Hz off.

I just tested Richies latest Dev work and it indeed seems to be recording MIC audio now. A good test is to do a quick recording on one band, play it back to verify it, then switch to another band to see if it still plays. It does thus it couldn't be an IQ recording.

On the OC output for the pin I select, say 7, If I select TUNE on the drop down, on transmit using the TUN button in Thetis , pin 7 will go to ground and sink the voltage that was on pin 7 at the amp side to close to zero volts?

Is that correct?

Also what is keeping pins 1-4 from going to ground ...
