Re: midi function to control rear speaker on 7000

I have not tried them but have a look at item 15, 69 & 72 in the midi controls list. 15 is simple mute on off while 69 and 72 switch VAC1 and VAC2 on/off, might be useable as a per VFO mute albeit in an inverted manner.

Re: New Apache Labs 1.5KW Linear Amplifier

I'd be interested how Apache have implemented the control board. From the specs it appears the control board is at least compatible with Rz1ZR's latest version. He does a very good job with the software (I have a VKamp running his software) but his hardware implementation is Ho Hum with a bunch of c...

Re: cmASIO feature in Thetis

For what it is worth I have Motu M2 running CMasio without the fruit and veg middleware. It's so fast i can now for the first time monitor myself in the headphones and not be put off by the latency. Perfect for tailoring your TX audio. Thanks for the innovation Bryan. BTW I often listen in on the US...

Re: Voicekeyer and streaming

Streaming aspect aside I am amazed that Thetis does not have a rapid access voice keyer with on screen buttons. Why is this not a Thetis question? The recording and playback functionality already exists all it needs is a convenient UI implementation. I don't use N1MM and loading it just fro the voic...

Re: Manual(s) For The Upcoming ANAN G2?

Don't hold your breath:) The manuals for the 7000 series are hopelessly out of date too. It's the nature of open source projects that development out paces the docs. It's a good thing we have a helpline called Scott:) The 8000 looks to be a total bargain if you are wanting QRO. I defy anyone to find...

Re: IMPORTANT: different firmware for 7000DLE MKIII/Andromeda/8000MKII hardware shipped after 1 January 2023

Thanks for the reply Scott. I would be surprised if a chip as advanced as an FPGA did not have some internal identifier. <<pause>>A quick search while writing this message and Lo and behold it does https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/docs/programmable/683336/20-3/cores-user-guide.html Which shou...

Re: IMPORTANT: different firmware for 7000DLE MKIII/Andromeda/8000MKII hardware shipped after 1 January 2023

If the newest revision 7000 is factory designated as Mk3, I guess I must have the Mk 2.5, formerly unofficially the Mk3. One wonders if in the future there will be a unifying firmware to cover all the variations. Sure is developing into a minefield choosing the correct firmware. Might I suggest a st...

Re: All the 2.9.0.6 issues

Mundane as it might seem but the config dialogs really need cleaning up if only to help out new users. By which I mean disabling controls that are inoperable in particular modes. For example it is not clear which audio controls work with VAC and to turn on by default sane PTT settings. Oh and why no...

Re: MIDI set up loaded but no controls working

Well I seem to have solved the problem. Did a scan as below 1. System File Corruption Scan Open Command Prompt (Admin) Type cmd into the start bar Right click on it and select Run as administrator Type: sfc /scannow Let it run Restart your device Try again

Re: MIDI set up loaded but no controls working

Not wishing to hijack here but I have similar issues as the OP I received my CMD Studio 2A today and have buttons and sliders working but the rotary encoders (all 4) refuse to play the game. I do not believe it has anything to do with Thetis using P2 as when testing with a midi reporting app ( https...

Re: Can I stop my PC from upgrading to Windows 11?

Like the old guitar amp line goes, This one goes to 11. In the case of Windows, the 11 refers to the proliferation of bloat and spyware foisted onto the general user base.

Re: Shipping Updates

Something strange going on here. My order 3456 of 4 Feb 22 predates some others that have been flagged as ready for delivery yet I am still waiting.
Beginning to look like making a noise in the forums gets you bumped up the queue ;)
