Scott,
My Hermes board is one of the first fully assembled board available that time at TAPR.
I made two changes to the board to get it ready for Protocol2.
I provided 5VDC from external PWS and soldered wire over one of the PCB traces per Keil LA2NI recommendation. I was very sorry to hear that he ...

TAPR Hermes SSB signal quality worsened
This problem appeared few month ago in my radio.
I started having reports that my voice sounds raspy or check your modulation.
I was running Protocol1 and decided to upgrade to Protocol2.
This helped some however the problem persists because some station still reported distortion of my voice.

Re: ANAN-10E (Revised) HF & 6M SDR Transceiver
I received new ANAN-10E yesterday.
After unpacking it my first impression was positive, the enclosure is very well design.
I powered it on and to my very nice surprise the fan on the top of the enclosure was very quiet while working.
Despite working quietly it's blowing a lot of air on the enclosure ...

I'm adding another post which may be useful for those who experience this problem. The difference between first day tests after Protocol 2 download versus the second day was PC status. On the second day my PC was tuned on after being shut down at the and of first day.

Re: Thetis 2.10.3.5, 16-bit Hermes Protocol 2 no TX signal
This morning I turned on Hermes running Protocol2 and Thetis and to my nice surprise transmit signal appeared.
I don't know why the radio was transmitting yesterday despite turning it on/off couple times after Protocol 2 firmware download.

Thetis 2.10.3.5, 16-bit Hermes Protocol 2 no TX signal
Recently I installed the latest Protocol 2 firmware on my TAPR Hermes.
The receiver works fine. For some reason Hermes is not generating TX signal while Tune or CW key is hit.
This was not happening while Hermes was running the latest Protocol 1.
I believe this issue was already explained by Scott ...

Re: G2 - No Receive
Richard,
this could be the same issue as with my Hermes/Thetis.
If Thetis was turned on while 20m was previously selected before turning power off click 30m pb and then click 20m pb again.
It works for me, I consider that as minor issue.

Re: Thetis v2.9.0.6 SSB Filters 2.1kHz and wider are ringing
I deleted the wdspWisdom00 file and re-installed Thetis. It did not help. SSB filters were still ringing.
So the last resort was clean Windows 10 install, however all important data, passwords etc. had to be saved.

Re: Thetis v2.9.0.6 SSB Filters 2.1kHz and wider are ringing
I've installed Thetis v2.9.0.6 on my laptop. That was fresh install, FFT bins had to be created.
Started listening SSB on 40m and... no SSB filters ringing.
This test proved that my PC somehow influence Thetis.
I re-installed Thetis few times on my PC but it did not help.
To do fresh install I will ...

Re: Thetis v2.9.0.6 SSB Filters 2.1kHz and wider are ringing
Scott,
I'm not using VAC for audio.
My headphones are plugged in directly to Hermes headphone connector.
Is it possible that Thetis filters ringing problem is caused by PowerSDR still installed on my PC?
By the way I've been using PowerSDR mRX PS v.3.4.9.

Thetis v2.9.0.6 SSB Filters 2.1kHz and wider are ringing
I got back to SSB listening during last WPX Contest. It turned out that filters 2.1kHz and wider are ringing very strong making SSB signals impossible to copy. Only 1.8kHz filter is free of artifacts however it's too narrow making signal copying difficult.

Scott,
thanks for your prompt replay.
I've downloaded firmware ver.1.5 to 14-bit Hermes and the board is up and running again.
After using old Hermes board purchased from TAPR in 2012 my mind was stuck with that version of Hermes. I haven't realized that other version of Hermes was built.

Open HPSDR 14-Bit Hermes received 2 weeks ago
I received HPSDR 14-Bit Hermes board. It came with firmware ver. 1.5.
Using boot loader I setup IP address, no problem here.
Thetis 2.9.0.6 recognized the board, however while antenna connected to RX port no signal was displayed on spectrum.

Re: Thetis v2.9.0x64 with Hermes Prot.1 v3.3 Split is not working.
Scott,
I was running Thetis v2.9.0x64.
I've uninstalled that version, rebooted my PC and I installed v2.9.0.6.
Thetis 2.9.0.6 is working fine with split. I verified that checking spectrum and listening my CW signal on different receiver.
Thanks for your help.

Thetis v2.9.0x64 with Hermes Prot.1 v3.3 Split is not working.
Running Thetis under Windows 10.
For some reason Split is not working. I got embarrassed calling DX station working with split.
It turned out that I was calling him on his frequency despite selecting Split and setting VFO B 2 kHz above VFO A frequency.
