Re: Thetis v2.10.3.3 released

Hi When using the flex control wheel running with ddutil for the vfo, and when I have the tune step at 100hz it moves 250hz. If I use a 50hz tune step it then tunes at 100hz. If I try 250hz it moves 500hz. With the mouse it works fine. I tried setting the ddutil to 1hz. to make sure it is not creati...

Re: What are the midi controllers that work.

I really like the ELAD TM-2... It has a small LCD screen that shows the frequency / mode / signal strength. I set the background LED to blue when VFO A is selected and yellow when VFO B. Transmit turns the LED Red. There are knobs for vol / mult / VFO. My favorite part is that I can set VFO A to th...

Re: What are the midi controllers that work.

The list will be vastly increased as I have just fixed an issue where more modern controllers give additional 14bit midi messages for sliders/controllers. The messages for those knobs/sliders arrive in pairs and the midi config was getting confused. As a quick fix we are now ignoring the 14bit mess...

Re: So Disappointed But I Rolled it Back. 7000 MK III To Protocol 1

When I was having a issue with my 7000dle mkIII and protocol II I went into the network card setting and reduced it down to 100mbps with a bandwidth of 768000. And I still run 768000 just to keep it tamed. I no longer have to run the nic card at limited 100mbps after the latest firmware. I hope som...

Re: So Disappointed But I Rolled it Back. 7000 MK III To Protocol 1

I had the same issue with rf. But my problem, the mic wiring was wrong. I use a Heil Gold line mic, and of course I reversed the mic + lead. But it made me re-do the shack ground a lot nicer. Finally fixed the mic issue.

Re: Andromeda case - punchouts for what fan model?

You can use an adapter 3d printed 50mm down to 40mm if you have the space. There are several on the following site. But can be adjusted. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2037140 I'm not sure I can get enough air from two 40mm fans without "fan scream", but it would be a cheap enough expe...

Re: Abrupt reduction of noise floor on receive

I know it sounds weird but when I get up off my chair my receive drops. I am thinking static, although I was not touch anything. If it consistently and reliably does that then it certainly sounds like a static discharge of some sort. How is your station grounding and bonding? The station ground and...

Interesting. If you switch to an empty antenna port does the panadapter look like it does when the problem is happening? Re: Abrupt reduction of noise floor on receive

Well, it happened again this morning and I heard the relay click two times. This time I went to setup and antennas the 20mtrs selected ant 2 then ant 1 and it became normal again. Maybe has something to do with antenna selection? This happened while receiving.

Re: Abrupt reduction of noise floor on receive

Are you going to try my suggestions? It does suck going back to P1, but it's probably a worthy experiment to see if is somehow tied to firmware. This might be related to the other reported problem with the Cyclone V P2 firmware associated with jumps in freq. calibration. Well, I might if it happens...

Re: Distortion during Pure Signal

The adjustable CleanRF samplers are not recommended as it is all too easy to accidentally adjust them to dangerous feedback output levels that can damage the ANAN. Be careful with it! Have you tried changing to the 70 & 190Hz combination? There should be no problem with the power calibration. U...
