Re: So Disappointed But I Rolled it Back. 7000 MK III To Protocol 1
Yes, port shunting was one of the first things I did when i first suspected RF and that didn't solve the issues. Thanks for your suggestion a while back. I apologize for not confirming it was already done back months ago when you originally suggested it. Yes my friend told me as well as another gen...

Did you terminate the open ports as well?

Re: Wishlist >>Transmit noise reduction.
I am using an EV RE27 mike with a foam pop filter and work about 1 - 3 inches and talk in a normal voice. It helped my shack fan noise quite a lot. No breath noise and of course with that mike no proximity problems. Off topic - I have been using that mike thru a shure low impedance to high impedanc...

You can use any number of other solutions to acomplish this, not sure I want resources spent implementing something like this natively in Thetis. Look at NVIDIA Broadcast, or any other number of solutions. What resources are you referring to? Computer? Development resources Yes, I understand. I kno...

Re: Using MOX vs PTT different transmit eq
That's a beautiful connector! No stop on shell so it pushed out the connector you lose ground. But that was not my problem the shield was disconnected. Those are very easy to over tighten. There should be a small gap between the barrel and the 90 Degree body. If you over tighten you suck the intern...

Re: Using MOX vs PTT different transmit eq
Okay it has something to do with the connector I'm using at the front of the radio. Ground disconnected cold solder joint. The old wiggle test worked. https://community.apache-labs.com/download/file.php?id=3393 don't buy this connector the body disconnects from the trs if you tighten the shell.

Re: Using MOX vs PTT different transmit eq
Okay this seems to happen only with my electret mic. It seems that the audio is lower if I use the MOX button. But If I use my dynamic mic there is no difference in xmit audio level whether I use physical ptt or mox. Maybe something with bias voltage switching in. Assuming you mean "PTT switch...

Re: Using MOX vs PTT different transmit eq
I cannot duplicate your results. Is the DEXP and everything else 100% identical across the board except for the state of VOX? What happens when you use MOX with VOX enabled? Yes everything is the same I have checked the eq, mic, dexp and xmit filter. I forgot to mention that this is with mic plug i...

When using MOX vs PTT I get a different transmit eq during transmit It sounds thinner or not processed/adjusted. I discovered this while adjusting the dexp.

Re: Wishlist >>Transmit noise reduction.
It is a useful request and allowing NR2 on TX would help in noisy situations. DEXP won’t help high levels of room noise. The SunSDR TX noise reduction works well. If you have the Blue USB microphone with their tools it will also work well. Doug I currently use the Behringer bigfoot. It only has an ...

Re: Wishlist >>Transmit noise reduction.
I use the downward expander but just doesn't cancel the noise in the shack. It will cancel 30dB worth of your shack noise. How much more do you need? In addition to what Scott advises above: a strongly cardioid dynamic mic, with "variable-d" characteristics (or equivalent) will go a long ...

I use the downward expander but just doesn't cancel the noise in the shack. I am going to treat my room with some sound panels My al-82 amp is the challenge. Noise reduction on transmit audio. I know it must be complex to write something like that into thetis. But I heard my buddies noise reduction in his sun sdr radio via software and it was good. It blanked out all the noise in the background. Pretty cool, similar to sonars noise reduction.

Not sure if you tried this yet but re-name the .rbf file to Metis.rbf. If you have done this already, I apologize for repeating. I had the hang up on the "erasing" step; I kept stopping and starting and finally it went to the next step of "programming", very slow too. It had act...

Two NICs? Try disabling the NIC you don't need prior to running Bootloader (Settings > Network & Internet > Change adapter options, right click on the adapter in question). You won't break anything by doing this, you can simply enable it again when you are done. Ok I tried disabling the other N...

I'm not familiar with Norton, but it would seem it is not fully excluded from all checks. Achieving that level of exclusion would be a goal. You could also test by disabling Norton temporarily.
