Re: Hermes Lite, Thetis, UMC 202HD, VM Potato and WSJT no audio
Thanks Scott, Iºll try to make that, and post some screenshots here, to see if Iºm foolowinfg all ok, the names at VM are very confuse, they could simplify that. If I can run all digital on the same line that aoulçd be good (I suppose that only one program at the time, if I want to run Winrabler for...

Re: Hermes Lite, Thetis, UMC 202HD, VM Potato and WSJT no audio
Hi Scott, One thing that I notice, was that Thetis pass to Vaio3 but still works like is on strip B1, look at the attach image. Captura de ecrã 2024-04-10 121644.png So for Winwrabler, I just choose the Input as Voicemeeter AUX Input And for output Voicemeeter Out B3 Then Send B1 to B3 and B3 to B1 ...

Hermes Lite, Thetis, UMC 202HD, VM Potato and WSJT no audio
Hi guys, for the sake of me, I spend all the afternoon trying to make the connections between Hermes Lite2 Thetos, UMC202HD, VM Potato and WSJT but cant seem to find a way to all work together, even reading all the tuturials in here. In Thetis, under Audio, I've selected ASIO, then I've the followin...

Re: Passing spots to spotting window
Hi all, thanks for the replay. Using DXLab suite, in SpotCollector I can filter the way I want, it's connected to 5 telnet cluster's at the same time, but I filter it, instead of the cluster source, much more practical and efficient with SQL expression. The mistery is solve, so the Spotting only acc...

Hi Scott,
Thanks, I didn't remember that.

Re: Full VAC or Hybrid audio
Hi guys, thanks a lot for all the info about material that you guys are using, that would give me a base to filter good from bad stuff. Now I've got a problem, I just pick up my PreSonus HD7 and plug it to the PC and the audio was low, to low, so I plug a 10€ headset from the kid to the PC and all w...

Passing spots to spotting window
Another question about this. My logging program has a build in webserver that I've running on Localhost. When I go in to the Spotting window and instead of the normal VE7CC, I add a new line with Localhost:xx/spots, with http:// or without it refuses to connect. Is possible to connect to the Localho...

Re: Full VAC or Hybrid audio
Hi Chipp, Thanks for your input, you guys are start to convince me to get the io24, instead of the 202HD, spend money only once kind of thing. About the microphone's I'm going to stay on the Behringer or Audio-Technica, yours and Scott's are good references for me. Are you using a boom for the 2035,...

Re: Full VAC or Hybrid audio
Got you Scott. Thanks for the picture, like they say, one picture is worth 1000 words. :D So now the demand start. 202HD or Revelator, for the price, given that the Revelator has not been proven, might take a chance here, if not 202HD or 24c. Microphone I like yours and the 2020, I've been seeing a ...

Keyer for Hermes Lite 2 & other SDR's
Steve Haynal, start this keyer, but let it go since he got no time and don't want to deal with process of send it to makerfabs for them to sell it with the HL2. So a few of the guys on the Hermes Lite 2 google group, are trying to make it see the day light, but very slowly. What do you guys think ab...

Re: Full VAC or Hybrid audio
Oops, yeah, forgot you need some sort of virtual audio cable software for the digi mode stuff. I like VB Audio Voicemeeter. Some people still prefer the original Muzychenko VAC software. Others prefer the VB Audio cables software. VB Audio just came out with their "Matrix" software which ...

Re: Full VAC or Hybrid audio
The UMC202HD has a simple, straightforward driver that is very easy to understand and set up and proven with Thetis cmASIO. The Revelator io24 is a more capable device that comes with a much more complex driver and a huge suite of audio software. It has not been proven with cmASIO but other Presonu...

Re: Spots via API
Since this doesn't get much attention. How about connecting Thetis Spotting with the webserver running on Localhost, this would facilitate the job, and would filter the incoming spots to the display, and only show the ones that I would need. I've try to connect, but Spotting is refusing the connecti...

Re: Full VAC or Hybrid audio
Hi WU2O (Scott, I belive, if I can call you on a first name bases). If you don't want a headset with a boom mic that's no problem. Everyone makes a USB mic these days. Behringer, Mackie, even RØDE makes one. You can spend a few dollars, or a few hundred dollars! Nothing like keep an open mind here, ...

Re: Full VAC or Hybrid audio
HL2--IMHO they did this right by leaving out the CODEC and audio interfaces on the board. I also agree with you here, it should be better to leave audio path outside SDR radios, and just deal with external sound cards. If I'm understanding correctly, the core issue is that you are asking if it is w...

Re: Full VAC or Hybrid audio
Hi WU2O, I should have said that I'm not running an An (yet, I'm looking at it) but an Hermes Lite 2, this is my first SDR radio, só lots of questions about audio and Thetis, Voice meter, etc. I've been reading your posts, very useful information, have Thetis for HL2 (MI0BOT) install and Voice meter...

Full VAC or Hybrid audio
Morning guys, Let me bring to the discussion this subject, like the title says, what should be use relying on full VAC like Banana, Potato and so, or make an Hybrid sound system, with VAC for the Digital Modes, and add an external sound card like euphoria UCM just for SSB and CW. Some defend full VA...

Re: Which one? Anyone compare them?
Hi Ernst,
Thanks for the info.
So let's see if they still have it.
I like your idea for the steam deck.
Still no joy on this side in routing the audio to outside programs.
Only hearing the audio on the PC speakers, no SSB TX, no movement on the meter, but I can make CW QSOs.

Hope I'm not too late.
I've a store here that have the Starlight, the Compact and the Numark, witch one should I get.
They're all around the same price tag (70€)

Re: Spots via API
Hi OE3IDE, Well, lots of guys ask for the implementation of TCI, he doesn't want to waste development cycles on another protocol, since he supports TCP/IP. Like many other developer's from other programs. Flex to don't support another protocol put out an API for lots of stuff. I was thinking that Th...

Re: Spots via API
Hi OE3IDE,
I know that TCI support all that and much more, but most of the developers don't want to support another protocol that is bad documented.
And the main thing is that the spots are color coded, when I got home I'll put a screenshot of the spots in SpotCollector, so you guy's can see it.

Guys, Is possible to send spots from an external source to the Thetis panadaptor? I use DXLabs suite, and it has SpotCollector, which gather spots from multiple sources, and make them visible with color codes, so that you know at a glance wich one will advance on your awards. I know that SmartSDR fr...

Portugal (CT) band plan
Morning all, This is my first post here, so if this doesn't belong here the mods can move it to where it should be. Right now from what I can see there are no band plan for Portugal (CT), so we've to choose Spain that is somewhat similar to ours, but would be much better if we could have our own ban...
