Memory Spot Control

Here's an app to send entries from the Thetis Memory Interface to the panadapter via TCI.

Turn on TCI in Thetis, add some frequencies with names via the Memory Interface, in the app set the TCI address & binding if different from the app default and click Send Spots.

I enjoyed this capability in ...

SWL Spotter FAQ

There does not appear any info, that I can find, to explain how to get SWL spotter to work within the DX/SWL Spotter window.

Here is what I've done to get it to work:

- Download CSV database from http://eibispace.de/

- Move it to /users/.../AppData/Roaming/OpenHPSDR/Thetis-x64/

- Rename xxx.csv ...

Re: SpotCollector Spots to Panadapter

Gary, I'm currently using TCI-Bridge but since I use DXLab, I wanted to compare SpotCollector to TCI-Bridge.

Yes to SDC too and I run it on occasion but have found it to be tricky and poorly documented.

I'm surprised SpotCollector can't send spots to other clients. Maybe I'm mistaken but does it ...

SpotCollector Spots to Panadapter

Is there a way to send spots from DXLab's SpotCollector to the Thetis panadapter?

Current cofig allows a click on a spot in SpotCollector to change Thetis frequency.

Tnx everybody! Rik

Re: GUI modifications to move control buttons

Thanks Mark & James! Not sure how I missed the fact the variable multi-meter containers included buttons too!

I remember watching a YouTube video, by Ritchie, abt the meters but the buttons flew by me.

Looks like this will get me close to where I want to go.

And tnx for the Discord ...

GUI modifications to move control buttons

Control buttons for the 2nd Rx are placed along the bottom of the GUI. I would like to explore moving them, circled in red, to more intuitive locations.

I don't believe this is a skin change though. It looks like Thetis would have to be modified. The meter mods with detachable/attachable windows ...

Re: RX2 receive level is different from RX1

Thanks Nigel! That change brought Rx2 to life.

I found the following post from WU2O which adds some detail but still trying to understand what the remaining 5 DDCs are doing.

RX2 receive level is different from RX1

Rx2 is attenuated despite being setup the same as Rx1. Both Rx's are on same freq. Ant is Ant1.

:? What am I missing?

Tnx for the help..Rik

Re: Network Interface Speed will not stay set at 1.0 Gbps

Found the issue. Ethernet port is on front of blue face units and I have nic cable doing a 180 so it runs under cabinet. The bootloader switch is under the cabinet too and it must have nudged the switch into bootloader position...which is how I found it. Reprogrammed static ip and unit and nic are ...

Network Interface Speed will not stay set at 1.0 Gbps

7000dle and pc worked perfectly 2 weeks ago. Left town an upon return 7000 will not connect to pc. I notice the dedicated nic interface speed is 100.0 Mbps. To eliminate any update issue restored from a known good restore point from 2 weeks ago. no change. Changed out nic cable and had 1 Gbps speed ...

Re: CW TX Sidetone thru Headphone but not via PC Speaker

Thanks Scott, this is good to know. I've tried QSK on CW and I agree with you, the audio latency is too high to be useful. Rather than bypassing the internal keyer, I'm going to hang an external speaker off the 7000. I'm avoiding the rear speaker jacks.....maybe t-off the front headphone jack.

CW TX Sidetone thru Headphone but not via PC Speaker

On CW transmit side-tone via headphone is ok, but no audible side-tone is coming thru the PC speakers.

Audio to PC speakers on RX is fine. VAC1 is working.

It's like there is a "mute vac1 on transmit" set... but I cannot find it.

This 7000 is the blue face and headphones and key are plugged into ...
