I see the 7000dle mkii OC ouputs are open collector and the KPA500 are open drain.

Do I need to add pull up resistors or can I just build a regular BCD cable HD15 to DB9 with the 4 BCD lines, PTT and gnd?

Well.... somewhat solved. It was the computer though I don't know why. Installed Thetis on an I9 13900 mini pc (geekom) and no issues at all. Back to the amd ryzen 9 and distorted audio is back. Why? Reinstalled thetis and vac with no improvement.

So I have been pulling my hair out all day. Just won't run on my new AMD Ryzen 9 powered maching with 32Gb ram. Badly distorted audio.

So after having tried everything I can think of, I ran Thetis on my Intel I9 13900. RUNS Perfect.....no distorted audio from JTDX or WSJTX using VAC. Nice pure tone ...

I just got this less than a month ago. Just too much for me with all the crazy options of virtual audio. Sometimes I would get it to work then others...either no TX audio or RX audio being routed through TX banana.

Running Thetis 2.10.3.7 and JTDX. Using MME and VM Banana x64. It is working and making some contacts but I think there is still a problem.

I have a clean rf RFS-2K to use with my kpa500 and 7000dle skiing. It has an adjustable knob but cannot find anything about it.

Any experience with this for pure signal?

Thanks for the help! I seem to have it working but with the asio driver. Made a dozen contacts today that way. Later I will try MME as you say to see if it works that way for me.

While I prefer sdr operation I do like a knob with a few macro buttons. Any manage to use either an elecraft kpod or sunsdr encoder? Asking about these because I already have them.

If I connect directly to a port on the computer, then I cannot use other apps tcp/ip connectivity, or can i?

What is a good reliable add on board so I can use a dedicated ethernet port for a new to me 7000DLE MKII?

I researched this forum for compatible ddutil version and found ver. 3.2.6.22 is the latest one that should work with thetis. But I cannot find it on the k5fr website. Anyone know where I can find it?
