Re: TX Profile updates
Richie Two things....First....Thank you SO much for what you do..It is appreciated much more than you could possibly imagine . And second....Kudos for fixing the FM strategy and allowing the user to change the passband response, While I rarely do any FM, the frequency response on these is just so ba...

Re: Poor audio quality on 10M FM receive
Not that it matters, But I also find the FM performance almost unuseable However, The audio levels thru the chain are WAY too high someplace, I just so seldom use it I`ve never tried to figure out where....Lowering the Master AF way down does seem to cure the distortion on receive to a managable lev...

Re: Frequency Calibration
Scott I built mine around the same time frame you did because I remember asking you where you got the angled base from so a few years ago....it was built on a Pi 3b I put the version 2 Software on it a couple of years ago because that V1 software was just not the best....It was stable with the V2 st...

Re: Frequency Calibration
Just a Follow up I answered My own question accidently Swapping to a Pi 4b from a 3b was not as plug and play as it should have been, suffice to say I had to start from scratch OS wise so also loaded the newest PiHpSDR And there it is...Frequency calibration right there in the Radio setup menu. I mi...

Scott Yep E-mail sent to John, I`m just trying to cover all the bases and hitting it here also, One never knows who might be sitting in the background..LOL The Version 2 with a RP4 and cooling fans just runs so stable I really haven`t even changed anything.. Used it last weekend and it reminded my o...

Re: Frequency Calibration
I realize this may not be the answer you want, but you might also consider buying a GPS disciplined 10MHz reference oscillator. Leo Bodnar makes a reasonably priced one. The 7000 will automatically use the signal. The 10E's will have to have their internal jumpers configured to use it. Once you hav...

Frequency Calibration
Just thought I might toss this out here as i`m not sure how much is still being done with this. This is on a Homebrew controller running John`s V2.0.0.0-rc7 currently While I don`t use this often, it is used on a couple of different radios (7K and two different 10E`s) Obviously there is no way via t...

Orion Mk III Rev 5
Apparently there is a New version of the Orion board with a different FPGA and some redesign being shipped in the new 7000`s that requires special firmware. This from Tony at Anan Quote: If you have updated the firmware the radio will not work! Please find attached the correct firmware as the new ba...

Richie, First off..THANK YOU ! for what you have done, this is just amazing work. A WANTWISH for you Is it possible to add Drive level per mode ? Problem solved....It was a corrupt firmware issue and... I will admit that I forgot about having to rename the .rbf to "Metis"
Finally loaded perfectly all good and working fine.

Re: 7K Black Connection issues
Have you tried the v1 Programmer? Maybe it has p1 installed? Mine shipped in June with p1 on it. While I was under the assumption that they are all shipping with P1 as of right now, You do bring a valid point to the table and its worth a look....The question still remains that it had been on both n...

After a little fussing, I got a Tinker board to load Pihpsdr......However I can not for the life of me get it to connect to the radio (10E with proto1) directly connected, Works over the network fine. Quick record on AM
Is it just me or is it not possible to get a good recording either with the Quick record or Wave record screen on AM ? Completely distorted no matter what I have tried.
SSB works absolutely perfect in either selection.
Any suggestions ?
Thanks Rick (N9HLL)
