Re: cmASIO feature in Thetis 2.10.3.5 pre 3
Thanks Bryan. Just tried it and it indeed picks up both channels. Minor issue in having to turn down the gain or unplug the channel not in use. Turning down the gain means having to reset it with the Mic meter when switching back unless you unplug it but better than nothing! Would be really nice to ...

Re: cmASIO feature in Thetis 2.10.3.5 pre 3
I use the UMC202HD and it works fine with cmASIO on input channel 1. Is there anyway to switch to channel 2 on he 202HD using cmASIO in order to select a different microphone without having to use VoiceMeter?
Thanks,
Joe, W4WT

Re: cmASIO feature in Thetis 2.10.3.5 pre 3
Perhaps I misinterpreted what I read over the course of the last few months or so that the MK III has been available. If it is all RFI issues, then obviously the MK III is just fine.

Re: cmASIO feature in Thetis 2.10.3.5 pre 3
"What problems would those be? Nobody is reporting any in the forum." Ones like these? I read through numerous problems with buffer over/underruns with the MK III here that were difficult to tame on protocol 2. https://community.apache-labs.com/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=4811&p=27680&...

Re: cmASIO feature in Thetis 2.10.3.5 pre 3
Thanks Scott & W4ATL for the info. I wasn't aware that this enabled RX2 to run through ASIO also now. Nice. I assume, since we don't have access to any settings, per se, that under/overflows are now a thing of the past? No more "robotic voice" problems as was the case when we had runaw...

Re: cmASIO feature in Thetis 2.10.3.5 pre 3
I thought I'd give this a try and it worked straight away using my UMC2020. No problems noted. My only question is what the purpose of this is? Is it simply to eliminate having to use VAC to get the benefits of ASIO drivers (not to belittle that time saver!) or is there something else that I don't r...

Re: Bug in DUP displayed power level--need someone else to test & confirm
I have another datapoint. I decided to see if my old Franken-Anan would still run. I haven't tried to use it since 2020 when I got the 7000DLE MKII. This machine has a 2017 MKII board, as they were called then; the successor to the 200D and I think it is the board in the 8000's of that era. I purcha...

Re: Bug in DUP displayed power level--need someone else to test & confirm
Well, since it fails on a default database I guess we can rule out a setting issue since mine works with a default database and yours doesn't Scott. I see it appears three of us are running different versions of Thetis. Scott is running 2.9.0.8, Mike 2.9.10, and I'm running 2.10.0. Mike and I are no...

Re: Bug in DUP displayed power level--need someone else to test & confirm
Scott, Have you or Mark tried saving and then resetting your database to rule out any other settings that we may not be aware of interacting with the display? I just did this to see if anything changed on my end. I saved, then reset and reloaded a default database and only went in and checked the Rx...

Scott, I was in USB; same as you. Does your "display cal", if I remember the correct name, make a diffeence in the error amount if you adjust it? Oops, looks like I missed your last post about the Cal. I'm not sure I understand then, based on what you said RIchie said why it definitely mad...

Scott, Here are the steps I took to do the requested test; let me know if I misunderstood your request and did it incorrectly and I'll do it again. I'm not sure how I could "do it incorrectly" yet still provide the results I provided but who knows. 1. I set the radio output to zero watts 2...

Well, I guess we can assume, just going by the number, that Mike has the latest version, Mark yours is the oldest and I'm in the middle.
Maybe.

Re: Bug in DUP displayed power level--need someone else to test & confirm
Well, now that is confusing. Mark and I have the same prefix before the number but Mike yours is completely different. Apache really needs to get with the program and start labeling things with some kind of logic behind it. Or at least some kind of logic that makes sense. Maybe it makes sense to the...

Re: Bug in DUP displayed power level--need someone else to test & confirm
Interesting. So Mike, Mark, and I are running 7000 DLE MKII's of some vintage. My serial # is 0107. Mike and I seem to have a radio that is within 3db + or - of what it should be (before I adjusted the cal setting) and mostly track pretty good. Mark's 7000 seems to be different. Wonder why? My firmw...

"Did you follow this procedure, Joe?" sure did. Followed it exactly. Joe Update: I remembered a new (to me) calibration setting called Tx Display Cal on the calibration panel. I haven't looked into exactly what it did but thought I'd turn it and see what happened. Lo and behold, I set it t...

Re: Bug in DUP displayed power level--need someone else to test & confirm
Well, I couldn't stand not to know, so, risking a back injury that would likely be curtains for me, I lifted the Sig gen over to the radio and did the test as you described Scott. Here is what I saw: -3dbm through -6dbm show Overload ADC1 -7dbm = No overload -10dbm reading -14dbm = -17dbm -20dbm = -...

Re: Bug in DUP displayed power level--need someone else to test & confirm
I just did the test as Richie described he did; use internal coupler, set to 10 watts, press Tune, check level, and then key radio in CW mode both with DUP on. I see around -10db for BOTH of those tests in the panadapter reading. Both CW and Tune agree. I'm using a 7000 DLE MK II. Not sure what Rich...

Juha, I am flabergasted that you are waffling about taking up Mark's very GRACIOUS offer to come over to his house and plug your radio into his power supply and his antennas and thus be able to completely eliminate your WHOLE HOUSE from this equation. Expecially when google earth shows you only live...

Hi Rob, Thanks for responding. I obviously didn't make myself clear in trying to describe what I was talking about. Sorry about that. Let me give it another shot. Your statement "With my LDMOS Mercury IIIs amp I set the maximum power level to whatever is needed on each band to drive it to 1000 ...

Re: updates and issues using PA profiles
Old thread but pertinent to my question. Rob, I see you are doing what I want to do but I can't seem to make my setup work like that. I too have a couple of amps I use, one a LDMOS and one a tube amp. I want to set up profiles for the LDMOS for both CW and SSB power levels and do the same for the tu...

Re: Abrupt reduction of noise floor on receive
Juha, If you have a bnc T-connector you can make a splitter that will work well enough for this test. If not, just parallel three pieces of small coax and put connectors on all three ends then connect an end to Ant 1, another to RX2, and the third to the antenna. Should work just fine to see if one ...

Re: Does anyone know how to contact G7KLJ regarding his commits to Richie's Git repo??
I was wondering myself as I had not seen anything from him previously, that I can recall. I compiled his latest and it seems to run fine but I did notice the auto agc function appears to have a problem. I didn't spend a lot of time with it yet.

Re: Abrupt reduction of noise floor on receive
If I had this problem and wanted to eliminate the radio, I would run a signal generator into a splitter and feed one output of the splitter to ANT 1, ANT 2, or ANT 3 (they all go to the same point in the radio) and I would feed the second output of the splitter to RX2 (NOT ANT 2). I would make sure ...

Re: Abrupt reduction of noise floor on receive
Juha, in my almost 60 years of Ham Radio with multiple towers, many antennas, and a LOT of transmission lines, a "desense" problem during receive that is "fixed" by momentarily keying the transmitter is ALWAYS a coax problem. Typically a coroded connector, loose connector, bad co...

Well, with this discussion I decided to try 10 FM for the first time with my 7000 DLE this moning and like you Scott, find the rx audio noisy on most signals. Adjusted varous things with no real improvement. Heard few that were full quieting out of Europe but maybe that is how it is. Most signals ou...

"Surely I can have 2 receivers on the same band as in some cases a SPLIT operation may call for an off-set of 10s of kHz." If this is what you want to do you don't need to use RX2 at all. Just set SPLIT and then use Multi-Rx to listen to your transmit frequency as well as receive. Joe, W4WT

Pete, your coment "Well except for the sample rate due to I am still on Protocol 1 19.2K is the fastest I can select" made me wonder if you have possibly confused the Audio sample rate with the F/W sample rate. As Scott said, you should change you Audio sample rate to 48000. The F/W sample...
