Re: Andromeda drive power drop in low power mode
Hi Sam, I had a similar issue with my 200D that began to suffer from fluctuations in power at low power levels and when the power level was increased to above 40 watts it was stable. It was very annoying as my amp required very low power levels to drive it and the output was very erratic with the dr...

Re: Implementation of Pure Signal by Dr. Pratt in other radio
Chas - K2BU mentioned this platform to me on the air several weeks ago. As Scott noted it will be interesting to see how the release of the OL Master software will be handled given that elements of the open-source work created by developers of the Thetis project are present in their software. One li...

Hi Brent, As another ANAN 200D owner I am with Mark and very curious about your SetPk value. My 200D is running protocol 2 and displays a very different default value for SetPk. I too am using an Xtronic coupler with 10dB of attenuation inserted in the return line. Just curious if pure signal is sta...

Hi Maurizio,
There was some discussion of this back in April of 2022 with some speculation that it was for debugging purposes. See link below.

Thanks for the combination Thetis + firmware fix for the RF appearing on RX only ports. With P2 firmware v1.9.20B installed in my 200D and running Thetis v2.10.3.6 Dev 2 there is no longer a detectable RF pulse during CW on ports marked "Do not TX". I have been running the firmware and the...

Direct X dependencies with Thetis
A friend of mine is struggling to get Thetis to run on a computer running a video card from the 2009 era. It's an Nvidia Quadro FX-580 which I am not sure is compatible with Direct X 11 or 12. With no checkbox that can be unchecked to disable Direct X dependency in Thetis, what happens when you try ...

This works very nicely Richie and as others have already said it makes setting up TX audio for your profiles a breeze.

Hi Bryan,
I took a shot at running cmASIO this evening and it is nothing short of spectacular! Thanks for the PDF instructions which made it a pure plug and play experience with my UMC202HD. After doing the registry edit I was up and running in about 2 minutes. Great job!

I've been following your journey with this in the thread Mark and very glad that Doug was able to isolate the bad PA device as the issue. Hi Ruben, I also am running a 200D and will pass along that with some Orion boards (including my own) pure signal does not work with protocol 1 versions 5.1 and 5.2 . Protocol 1 version 5.0 runs perfectly so that's what I run when I revert to protocol 1 to play with CuSDR. I also have "ATT on T...

Seems like Thetis for some users is not finishing its task of updating data to the the database and other files used for data storage in the users section of windows when it is closing. Could it be a permissions issue with windows? Just a long shot but is Thetis running with admin privileges?

It may be a ferrite core that some of the internal ribbon cables are run through for suppression. In my 200D they can be heard sliding around when I flip the rig over to clean the bottom fan port. de Rob W1AEX

There is a button in the setupform->General, called 'Firewall Check'. When thetis is run as admin and this button is clicked it removes all firewall rules related to Thetis.exe and re-adds them back in. I have just added the Private profile as well, which now mimics the rules that are added by the ...

Re: Dynamic vs. Condenser Microphone
Hi Tem, I have always used a Marshall MXL-770 studio condenser mic with my ANAN and have had very good results. The downside with that mic is exactly what you mentioned, all the background noise that it picks up. The downward expander in Thetis can certainly restrain the influence of background nois...

Re: Suggestions to improve PS operation on 7k DLE Mk2.5?
If it helps, I have a PDF document with a suggested procedure for how to adjust the driver and PA bias that I wrote mostly so I wouldn't forget how I did it. The document explains the steps I used with my ANAN-100 back when it was new. After the adjustment it certainly was more linear when Pure Sign...

Robert, The article at the link below is from about 5 years ago and shows the steps used to disassemble the case of the ANAN-100D. As far as I know the 7000DLE will not be much different assuming you have the extruded aluminum case. 73, Rob W1AEX http://anan-100d.wikidot.com/100d-disass

Good catch Mark. I had to contact my credit card company and have them note a pending international order from Apache Labs as well as the approximate amount to be charged. It went right through once I got off the phone with them.

Re: updates and issues using PA profiles
My problem is I assume since we're setting a drive level per band per profile you would need to set the "power limit" by right clicking the Drive (or tune slider) and set the maximum power level. If I do that, it works great as a per band power limit but it doesn't follow a PA profile; ju...

A very worthy thread here that deserves a sticky link to introduce this developmental path to those who are not aware of how things work in the open source world. It would be nice to simply point to this when someone is obviously and obliviously unaware.

Playing around with the limiter gain it was perfect through quite a range and the minimal setting suggested by Scott was fine. This will be great fun to play ar...
