Hi Martin,
I have an old ANAN 200D case but WITHOUT back panel, and inner shielding plates.
I would give it away for free if you defray the postage fees.

Hi Scott,
Just a stupid joke :
Fat (eg thick) clients against lean (eg thin) clients is still an open discussion. But remember flavour and taste is in the fat
(any good cook would say so).

Re: Glitches using Thetis with Log4OM
The old problem with fat clients requiring a lot of processor & network resources. Try to reduce the frame per second figure in Thetis, lower all display settings in setup/Display (especially bin Width slider), lower Sample Rate for both receivers in SetUp/FW. kill all unnecessary programs which...

Re: Watt meter calibration
Hi James,
you may adjust the Thetis wattmeter in SetUp /PA Settings/Watt Meter. You may linearise the scale in 10 W increments.
Be carefull not to fry your PA.

Re: CPU Usage
Hi Scott, Thank you for your answer. Having tested 3 different computers (different motherboards brands thus different bios software) I remain really confused with this issue. Nevertheless Thetis 32 works with no major trouble on my setup so I don't complain and am grateful for all the fine work don...
Re: CPU Usage
Hi Scott & Greg I am still wondering why no one considers the CPU load behaviour being hardware related. Not so long ago it was commonly admitted that much of the issues with various hardware (orion boards) was a 'timing problem". Have these issues been definitely solved ? It's beyond logic...
Re: CPU Usage
Hi all ! Processor load is back on the scene again ! Greg you did'nt mention which version of Thetis you run. 32 or 64 bit ? I have had several tries on my system (old i7 4770K @ 3.5 GHz 16 Gb RAM) I run RX1 with 1536000 SR RX2 with 768000 SR. The radio is run thru a dedicated PCIe NIC with no major...

@Phil FM5GB do me a favour, on both x86 and x64 run the following tests 1) single RX, set the spectrum display mode to OFF instead of panafall or whatever you normally use 2) change the FPS to 1 in Settings->Display->General 3) power up so you can hear signal 4) record cpu% details from Thetis stat...

Re: Looking for Laptop Recommendation
Hi Ron, Surprisingly no one did answer your question, Any computer operating an Anan radio should be rather powerfull; That's because most of the computing will be done by your laptop as Thetis runs your radio as a so called fat client. When running your radio thru a WIFI connection to your network ...

Re: So you downloaded the 32 bit version of Thetis: why???
I had already done several cleaning and maintaining procedures (don't quite remember which they was). Anyway I did two sfcscan passes : the second was errorless. And guess : still no change. The DISM command as given must be run first. Did you do them in the order shown? Random approximations don't...

Hi Scott, I had already done several cleaning and maintaining procedures (don't quite remember which they was). Anyway I did two sfcscan passes : the second was errorless. Re: So you downloaded the 32 bit version of Thetis: why???
Hi Scott As I allready wrote on this forum I use the 32 bit version because on my system the processor load is much less than with the 64 bit version. The 64 bit requires 2 to 3 (three !) times more processor resource. I have no explanation for this. Apparently no other Thetis user mentioned such a ...

Re: XVTR TX output active when using 28MHz
Hi Dave, On my 200D (as on your's most probably) there is HF power on the transverter TX output when transmitting on ANY HF band. I had to put a 28 MHz band pass filter on the HF input of my home made transverter to correct this mess somewhat. This is why I'm considering more and more to abandon my ...

Ok,
I'll test this ASAP.

Update : disabling antivirus lowered marginally processor load (1% estimated) and did not alter the difference between 32 & 64 bit version of Thetis (the latter being still twice as demanding on processor load).
Cheers

Hi Tom, it works quite good on WiFi (5 GHz) If I don't get too far away were signal is too weak (using SR 768000 & 384000 with no seq errors when on RX1 only). The radio has a fixed IP address on my network and was found on the first try. By the way I have W10 updated and all drivers also. Still...

Re: Thetis v2.8.11 - current issues
Hi Richie, when turning display Off the processor load shows almost no change (less than 1 % which is difficult to estimate because of load fluctuations) The ratio between 64 & 32 bit remains the same that is 64-bit twice as much load. My computer is 64-bit unfriendly. But I can live with this a...

Thank you Richie, you are right there was a missing checkbox (10 m Receive XVTR in Ant/Filters/ Antenna). Now everything is OK. I apologize for asking. But I am still unable to explain the increased processor load (almost twice as much) from the 64 version of Thetis. Best 73s and regards Phil FM5GB

Re: Thetis v2.8.11 - current issues
Hi Richie, Hi all, I am in trouble when using the 32 bit version of thetis 2.8.11 (10/20/20 "legacy" version) with my transverters. It seems the antenna input to RX1 is not not switched off in transverter operation. This brings a lot of noise making transverter operation impossible. The 64...
