Hi All,

Did we ever figure out whether there was a good reason for that "ps bypass" behavior being there in the first place?
It was obviously coded that way on purpose (not a bug).

Took 90 days to get my G2 (no display) after paying the final invoice.
I also got the "India customs" excuse, sadly.

Re: cmASIO feature in Thetis

Hi Doug,
You are free to set ASIOblocknum to 1 or 0, but the minimum size of 2 is enforced by the code in WDSP anyway. So, a setting of 2, 1, or 0 will all result in the same number of sample blocks being held by the ring-buffer - namely two.

Re: cmASIO feature in Thetis

Hi Doug, Yes, the default ring-buffer size is 5 sample blocks. The ASIOblocknum registry key value is there for situations where 5 is not adequate. If you reduce it too low, you'll get obvious audio artifacts as audio samples are being lost. 73! Bryan W4WMT PS - I should add that the default of 5 wa...

Hi Craig,

I agree that this really seems like a hardware issue.
The RX2 port on my G2 is seeing the exact same signal strength as the RX1(ANT1) port.
Might be time to reach out to Doug?
Too bad though, it being a brand new rig and all :-(

You can connect to the Pi and managed it by either: c) Enabling SSH and using SSH to remote in the Pi command line environment. Out of the box, is SSH enabled on the G2's Pi? Or will I first need to connect a keyboard/monitor/mouse & manually enable SSH, before remoting in to the G2 from my PC?...

If by "core software" they mean WDSP and ChannelMaster, I don't see how they can keep it private under the terms of GPL 2.0. In fact, I believe they are required to release the source code concurrently with the executable object code (as we do on GitHub). Although, I am definitely NOT a la...

Namely your ASIO driver must be capbale of running with a buffer size of 64 (bits or bytes?).

The basic prerequisites (there's only three) are at the bottom of the sheet.

I use the downward expander but just doesn't cancel the noise in the shack. It will cancel 30dB worth of your shack noise. How much more do you need? In addition to what Scott advises above: a strongly cardioid dynamic mic, with "variable-d" characteristics (or equivalent) will go a long ...

I don't see why that should be the case.
If the threshold were set above the ambient noise in the shack, then the expansion ratio could be set deeply enough to attenuate it below where it would be objectionable.
