It took them THIS long to appropriate NR0V's code, modify it enough to avoid GPL infringement, and be left with something that still works

Re: G2 Draft User Guide
You can connect to the Pi and managed it by either: c) Enabling SSH and using SSH to remote in the Pi command line environment. Out of the box, is SSH enabled on the G2's Pi? Or will I first need to connect a keyboard/monitor/mouse & manually enable SSH, before remoting in to the G2 from my PC?...

Hi All, Finally, and thankfully, some encouraging news to report at last: Overnight I received tracking info from FedEx for my G2 (no display) :-) No explanation as to the extraordinarily long delay in my case. I will report back here just as soon as I receive the rig, hopefully in just a few days. ...

Hi Joe, Bob never reported back as having actually received his G2. I too would love to hear from him and see how it's going. I paid my final invoice on February 4 for a G2 no-display, but no radio yet, just excuses. Last week I finally initiated a dispute on PayPal because their 180 day time limit ...

Hi Bob,
Thanks for reporting the above shipping progress!
Please be sure to give us further updates and let us know when you receive the rig.
I'm still hoping to receive my G2 (no display) after having paid my final invoice on February 5.

I haven't heard of anyone receiving a G-2 in April. I would like to hear reports if so. I paid my final invoice via PayPal on 5 Feb 2024 (for G-2 no display), but so far, no radio. If by "core software" they mean WDSP and ChannelMaster, I don't see how they can keep it private under the terms of GPL 2.0. In fact, I believe they are required to release the source code concurrently with the executable object code (as we do on GitHub). Although, I am definitely NOT a la...

Namely your ASIO driver must be capbale of running with a buffer size of 64 (bits or bytes?).
The basic prerequisites (there's only three) are at the bottom of the sheet.

I use the downward expander but just doesn't cancel the noise in the shack. It will cancel 30dB worth of your shack noise. How much more do you need? In addition to what Scott advises above: a strongly cardioid dynamic mic, with "variable-d" characteristics (or equivalent) will go a long ...

You will not know that for sure, until you run hostsample.exe to get hard results from the actual Realtek ASIO driver on your machine.

Hi Chiron, There's no need to run Voicemeeter in your case, so long as the Realtek ASIO driver can meet the basic requirements of cmASIO. Take a look at the cmASIO guide in the Windows start menu under OpenHPSDR and begin there. If you don't know the precise name of the Realtek ASIO driver, you can ...

Hi Dan,
Pure Signal works fine with cmAsiO, no differently than it does when using the microphone socket on the Anan.
Are you sure that the PS-A control is engaged in the Thetis console?

I don't see why that should be the case.
If the threshold were set above the ambient noise in the shack, then the expansion ratio could be set deeply enough to attenuate it below where it would be objectionable.

Re: 700DLE/Thetis ext 10 Mhz sorce( AND) correction factor?
Hi Robert, Does your 7000 MKIII have the Cyclone V based version of the Orion board? Chances are good that it does, because AFAIK there was only one documented case of an EP4CE Cyclone IV variant board making it into a 7000 stenciled as MKIII. If this is the case, those Cyclone V SDR boards are off ...

Bryan: why can't cmASIO follow the buffer size set by the device driver? The ChannelMaster native audio buffer size is 64 sample frames, it's hard-coded that way from stem to stern, with no provisions to change. So, the expectation is that the hardware ASIO device driver for the host sound interfac...
