The update_manager directory is now installed and I ran the nginx install script, but the nginx server returns a 404 when I try to connect.
At least the web service is running, but it is not finding the saturn page.
The /opt/saturn-go directory is there.

There is one omission as far as I can see. In section 4.4.1 you describe installing the update manager server. My radio is an early run of G2Ultra and does not have the .../Saturn/update_manager directory, so no update script. Where do I ...

I ran into the same problem a while back. You need a fairly recent version of PiHPSDR. Look for dl1ycf's Github repository (https://github.com/dl1ycf/pihpsdr). Download the manual and follow the instructions to build it (Appendix J).
Note that the software is updated regularly.

After playing with Richie's P2 assist software my radio won't boot. There is no display and I can't get into the box with SSH or telnet.
If someone has a working image could you please post it?

I see that both Christoph's latest version of pihpsdr and the latest release of Thetis uses wdsp 1.26. I can't seem to find any release notes on it. Can anyone tell me what the changes are?

I played around with G2Helper this afternoon. A few observations:

1. "Show most recent firmware" doesn't seem to do anything. The display just freezes.
2. When selecting "G2app as a service" Thetis works OK, but the front panel of my G2 Ultra does not work.

Laurence may jump in here, but as I recall you compile P2app yourself, so chances are that it would work with CM5. You may have to search this site for updated compile instructions.

By complete I mean holding the Power button down for 10 seconds AFTER Linux has been shut down.

Hi Michel,

I ran into the same issue, so here is the (simple) process to make it work:

1. Update the firmware to the latest version (19)
2. Shut down the radio - completely. This means pushing the power button for 5 sec after Linux has shut down.
3. Restart the G2 Ultra
4. Now get the PiHPSDR ...

Disregard. It turned out that the tip and ring on the PTT in/out connector were shorted. They are now separated and PTT works as it should.

My G2 Ultra generates a noise burst (see picture) of about 100 mS when it is keyed up. The problem showed up when I worked FT8 using WSJT-X, but also shows up when the radio is keyed up without any audio connected. The TX bandwidth is 2900 Hz and it fill the full passband.

I use one of the OC output as a work-around.

I am trying to get WSJT-X working with Thetis (20.10.3.6). A virtual serial port is set to asset RTS when WSJT-X transmit. It does key the radio and RF comes out, but the PTT output on the G2 Ultra to the amp stays high.

CAT control over a virtual serial control works fine. I am using HHD ...

Well, making a backup is actually useful :-)

I updated Linux and restored one of the directories and the panel now works with the latest release of Thetis. Running the p2app with the -p option helps too!

I did not loose much hair in the process - although in % perhaps so.

And I still do not have any response from the panel. when I try to update P2_app as per page 34 in the manual, I get a bunch of errors - one seems to be related to the panel. See attached file ...

I am happy to report that I have received my G2 Ultra. I paid the full amount in September and It was shipped with Fedex. Fedex took quite a while bouncing it around the NA continent. Nice looking radio.
