Finally, an answer to the old question of what is causing that visually annoying spike.
Great work Scott!
Now, if we could only get Richie to write some code to eliminate it.
Thx

Hi Carl,
Those numbers sound spot on.
"They" say that you don't need to terminate the unused port, but I do, and I recommend it. It's cheap insurance (50 Ohm SMA terminators are cheap ;) )

Re: Power output 8000dle
This is a bit different issue but I'm noticing my 8000DLE output power fluctuating about 4w higher from time to time while in use. After tuning up my amp with 26w drive and about 1300-1350w amp output I later noticed the amp output of 1450w. I switched the amp to standby and observed 31w output from ...

Re: Thetis v2.8.11 - current issues
Hi Richie, and welcome back...
I just loaded 21b and noticed something odd. CPU usage for "Thetis Only" is showing 0% to 1%. Prior usage with 2.8.11 would show 5% to 8% normally.
Great stuff you're doing and thanks very much!

Re: How to solve latency problems and VAC under/overflows in Windows 10
Since making the "NetworkThrottlingIndex" change to FFFFFFFF three days ago I have not had a single SEQ error during TX or RX. There is no question this change has eliminated pages of SEQ errors observed in every operating session since the Windows 10 update.

I'm not using VAC but analog audio instead. Will these registry tweaks still help?
Also, here is what I see in the registry where you said to go. As you can see in SystemProfile I see REG_DWORD, not DWORD 32. The DATA value is showing 0x0000000a (10). What should I change it to? I'm not real ...

Thank you for that info.

New replacement cooling fan has arrived for the 8000DLE. Can anyone that may have replaced the fan before tell me if it is done completely from the bottom of the radio? Also, is it a plug-in ( as the new fan is equipped, 2 pin) or does it require soldering?

Anan 8000DLE Fan replacement
My 8000DLE fan has begun to produce a intermittent, low level howl. I suspect the bearings are becoming worn (unit is three yrs old) and should probably be replace in the near future. Does anyone have a direct replacement fan model/part number, either OEM or third party that will work?

If you are using a Cat 5 Ethernet cable try switching to a Cat 6a cable. Cat 6a is rated for 10 gigabit speed and is shielded. I had the same issue of Thetis locking up intermittently and the Cat 6a cable fixed it. I have not had a lock-up since switching to Cat 6a five months ago.

Re: Voicemeeter Potato (VMP) is here!
Somebody needs to tell me why running VAC is better then analog audio. I have none of the issues I read about with VAC and I think my audio is fine. I have no latency issues when using RX1 and RX2 simultaneously. No additional load on my system (which is more then capable). I'm not being a smart ass ...

2.7.0 a2 loaded and running great.
DPS/Options/ Filter size for SSB and General/ADC settings didn't carry over. Minor inconvenience.
Fyi... All previous lock-up issues appear to have been resolved with change from Cat 5 Ethernet cable to Cat 6a shielded cable.
