Re: openHPSDR 3.4.9 on Linux Mint 21.1 and LMDE5

I am glad to see you got this to work with under linux with wine! I have always wondered never bothered to try. I bet with wine tricks you could get .net 4.8 installed and use thetis too. I only use linux now here for some time now. I use all native linux apps for hpsdr/anan radio’s on protocol 2. T...

Erik,

There have been several updates to the code including using wdsp 1.20.

My pihpsdr color scheme

Thought id post some photos of my pihpsdr manipulated color scheme. I am using DL1YCF’s fork with updated wdsp and some other changes. With a little help in where to start changing the colors I came up with the attached. I am on linux mint 21.1 at the moment running on 27” monitors.

Bugs in linhpsdr

I know that this project is not frequently worked on except for one fork and I have posted these to git but thought id post the here on the off chance that John or a dev might see them. Currently running linux mint on an i7 7700 with 16gig of ram. Apache labs hermes 16 bit board on protocol 2. I hav...

Re: Poor audio quality on 10M FM receive

Scott, Not exactly the same but I have been on thetis with a transverter down converted to 10m for years on fm repeaters. It worked fine. Haven’t tried it with the latest thetis release so maybe something has changed? I do remember something like this when I first tried protocol 2 years ago did a da...

Re: Screen Size

Follow this. https://charly25-sdr.github.io/software/pihpsdr Save the config first incase you mess something up. You will need to re compile after making changes. I run full screen on a 27" monitor. You can make it auto size or set the resolution manually on any size screen. Just need to play a...

Thetis open collector output Request

I dont know if this is the correct place to post this. I noticed having returned to thetis after a long time that the open collector outputs now have alot more config options one in particular I was looking for is the EXT amp control which is great! But. Having used the latest pihpsdr for a little w...

Re: piHPSDR on Windows

While this is very cool and I will likely play with it in addition to thetis on windows :D I hope that during or after the port the inherent problems or "bugs" that pihpsdr and linhpsdr can be fixed at the same time and maybe add some features. Maybe being on windows will help with that be...

Re: Anyone still working on linHPSDR?

Scott, Understood. I am not a windows hater. Lol. Though lately for regular usage I would chose linux. The current desktop is dual boot made of of a lot of random parts. It has 2 ssd 1 with windows and one with linux and a third hhd for storage and backup shared between the two. This is just fun for...

Re: Anyone still working on linHPSDR?

It’s good to hear there is progress. Hopefully the pi work can be ported over. Scott I have been following you playing with this for awhile. As of tonight I got it on the air relatively clean and after changing some network settings namely don’t throttle and fixed instead of auto at 1 gig I can now ...

Anyone still working on linHPSDR?

Just wondering if this is still being developed? I downloaded the latest and it is way better than I remember from a few years ago. Problem is I get audio popping over 96k sampling. The TX actually works now though and sounds good! Running latest linux mint. I replaced pulse audio with pipe wire whi...

Re: FM mode low audio out

Tom, Thanks. I do always run it at 5khz. I have had the same setup in powersdr mrx for several years. Switching to thetis now. I don’t think that pre emphasis setting is working. That’s what fixed it in the past in MRX. I run the mic gain for ssb at 6 in VAC. On FM I have it at 40 to even be copy ab...

FM mode low audio out

Well as I venture to use Thetis instead of MRX I come across new issues. This time its FM mode. I occasionally use 6 meter repeaters and have a 2 meter transverter. On FM I am getting complaints of low audio. Just for fun I cranked the audio gains to the max in vac and was told it was maybe 50 perce...

Re: Warbled receive audio.

I cannot comment on the warbled audio but I did get complaints of the echo. I also have asio and the same beringer. It turned out to be rf in the shack. I have a lot of clip on chokes on the cables now. Though I didn’t do it scientifically when I put them on so I am not sure which one actually fixed...

Re: Bypass/55mhz hpf not returning to default after closing the WB screen

Scott,

I think the easy fix is not to allow you to close the wideband window without clicking a WB button in the software. Like RX2 uses. This way it would always revert back to being checked. But I am not a programmer.

Bypass/55mhz hpf not returning to default after closing the WB screen

I don’t know if this is a bug but in hermes with alex or anan 100 mode when I open the WB screen in protocol two it checks the bypass/55mhz HPF in ant/filters as I believe it should to allow wb mode. Problem is if you close the WB screen the Bypass stays checked and doesn’t return to where it belong...

Re: Eq settings not saving

LA2NI, I had my problem for years on the same computer. Until yesterday I uninstalled Thetis, deleted the files from C:\Program Files as well as AppData\Roaming and did a fresh install. I did not carry over any database files and started from scratch. As of last night it finally works as expected! T...

Re: Eq settings not saving

Gary, Well it seems to be “sticking”!!! I am a bit skeptical! Lol. I will be on the air later and try band jumping a lot after I finalize my settings. This has been years in the making I guess. I think deleting those folders was the fix before the reinstall. Thank you for your help!!! Ryan KK6DZB Qu...

Re: Eq settings not saving

Gary, I have been in there but I never fully purged them and removed the folders. Just delete Thetis and Thetis 64? I didn’t think about using import data base to import a single parameter like a tx profile! Where will that show up once imported? I will try that soon. Not looking forward to entering...

Re: Eq settings not saving

Gary. Yes I am saving it after I get the EQ right. If I go back and look at the EQ it is now flat across the board like it self reset. It will not stay no matter what I do. I also use our Power sdr MRX quite often. And I don’t have this problem and have several tx profiles as I have several mics. It...

Thanks Scott. It has always worked in power sdr without an issue I have the settings the same as you speak of. I have been using Thetis for years and always have had this issue. I recently uninstalled and installed the latest Thetis with protocol 2 again and the problem persists. That was the only r...

Eq settings not saving

Running the latest Thetis. I cannot get my eq settings to “stick”. After setting them up making a tx profile if I change bands and change back eq is all set back to default. Never had this problem in MRX and is one of the reasons I quit using thetis in the past. Any ideas?

TX EQ inop

My first post on the new forum. Running the latest thetis I just wanted to note the the EQ on TX does not seem to be working. I am runing a 16 bit hermes board and 1kw ldmos amp. Tx audio is a sterling audio st51 condensor mic to a behringer 202hd running VAC audio. On the air with Gordon w2gor I wa...
