Re: ANDROMEDA shuts down when voltage drops to 12.4V
Well I don´t know the reason. I think there might be a problem when the 7000DLE MK2 and PC with i7 processor share the same DC power source. On all other models SDR and PC have separate power supplies. The volt indications seems fairly accurate. Right now voltmeter say 14.06V on DC input and volt in...

Re: ANDROMEDA shuts down when voltage drops to 12.4V
Yes its the same on all modes. Also just by tuning. The shutdown happen on 15m were the PA was not calibrated correctly. Full drive gave 125W output. Have recalibrated PA on all bands to about 95W with 100% drive and increased voltage to 14V so hopefully that will solved the problem. I would guess t...

Re: ANDROMEDA shuts down when voltage drops to 12.4V
Nope, there is no fluctuation on voltmeter when running CW. I have never had any RFI problems before. The 0.5-0.9V fluctuation when running 100W is on all bands 160-6m. Running 10W fluctuation is less 0.2-0.4V. Running 1W 0.1-0.3V. Even in RX with 0A it 0.1-0.3V. The load in the I7 processor is only...

Re: ANDROMEDA shuts down when voltage drops to 12.4V
Your right. GSV3000 at 13.8V voltmeter say 13.73V. TX 100W voltmeter say 13.71V but Thetis voltmeter fluctuates 12.9V to 13.3V. So GSV3000 is stable.
Any suggestions to the problem?

ANDROMEDA shuts down when voltage drops to 12.4V
I am using a Diamond GSV3000 30A continuous power supply to drive the Andromeda. In the manual it says "input voltage must be 13.8vdc +/- 5%". That is 13.11-14.49 vdc. In RX Thetis shows 13.7-14V. Tuning 100W voltage drops to 12.9-13.2V 22.5A Tuning 10W 13.4-13.6V 9A When running CW at 100...

Re: Shipping Updates
I made an order for 1pcs Andromeda 24 March. I received the station 2 weeks ago 24 August. Delivery was 2 weeks after final invoice was paid. That is the timeline you can expect right now.

Re: Andromeda MIC & CW KEY input reverse
Hi guys, Problem solved! All thanks to Kjell LA2NI. Kjell called me on the phone and suggested that the flat rainbow cable was set wrong upside down on the front panel. I had to file down 2 tips on the connector to be able to insert connector the wrong (right) way on front panel. Now paddle works on...

Re: Andromeda MIC & CW KEY input reverse
There is no RJ45 MIC connector. The MIC connector is also a 3.5mm jack. Wounder why the RJ45 was replaced by a 3.5mm jack? I got the TX audio sounding good and got great audio reports with microphone to CW KEY jack. All settings were saved. I then installed N1MM and rebooted. Now the humming nosie i...

Re: Andromeda MIC & CW KEY input reverse
I got rid of the humming background noise by turning off leveler.
I also connected a HEIL HM-10 mic with XLR connector with good audio following this wire diagram https://www.majorcom.fr/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/r414_9_image_xlr_vers_tp_thumbnail.png

Andromeda MIC & CW KEY input reverse
Have spent a couple of days configuring Andromeda. A lot to learn but a lot of fun. However when I connected a CW paddle to CW KEY input there was no CW. Just PTT touching one paddle. Connecting a HEIL headset with a 3-pole 3.5mm connector to MIC there was no audio. So i tried connecting the CW padd...

Re: SPE Expert Amp Interfacing
Thanks for the quick reply Scott,
I missed Andrews post with
PC DE9 : SPE DA15
GND 5 : 4 GND
RX 2 : 9 TX
TX 3 : 1 RX
7&8 looped RTS/CTS
I tried that and it worked!

I followed the instructions in previous post and made a cable with: DE9:DA15 5 4 Ground 2 1 Rx 3 9 Tx Have installed a USB to RS232 adapter. It shows up in device manger as COM8. I have verified functionality by connecting to another r...

Re: Shipping Updates
I have Order Number: AC-3551 1pcs ANDROMEDA. Order was made 24 Mars. Still no order updates or feedback. Really annoying that the only sign of life from the company and information that customers are actually receiving ordered products are on this forum. Has anyone received a ANDROMEDA lately? 73/Sa...
