Re: Can ANAN radios be used as spectrum analysers to test filters?
Hi Scott, That's good news. Since I have never used scopes, a little hand-holding is required. I know it's too much to ask for but a mentor must do it once and I would quickly learn. Is there a video on how to use it to test LPF for HF amplifiers? I could not find it. A block diagram to connect Anan...

Dear Richie & Ernst, You guys are simply amazing. The final product looks great. Loving it. Richie, whenever you have time to spare, kindly have a look at your to-do list. There is a request listed to widen the DRM filter from 10Khz to 20khz as the newer DRM transmissions employ wider signals. T...

Can ANAN radios be used as spectrum analysers to test filters?
Hello,
Just curious to know if Anan radios be used as spectrum analysers to test say Low pass filters.
A decade ago there was a project called Cyclopes under test.
SDR Play has software for the spectrum analyser program. Do we have something?
Thank you,

Update I have uninstalled and deleted folders from the user folder. Installed V2.9.6 and fresh wisdom files were created. TX Meter is still not working while other features like leveller, Mic meter etc are working. I have changed the radio to 100D and TX Meter is working. So there is something wrong...

Dear Richie, Thanks for your response. Yeah, I know the main meter should not be affected. Now, none of the meters (Main or Kenwood) shows TX output. A screenshot is attached. In my version of Thetis Multimeter2 option is not there. I am transmitting 25W on a random 12M freq in FT8 mode. What I must...

Re: Thetis 2.9.0.7 x86 (4/23/22) MW0LGE pre-release (meters testing)
Hello, Last night I downloaded the meter skin file .exe from GitHub and installed it. It created a new folder. I could not change the default meter though using ANAN 200D. Everything was working as always. When I switched on the PC and ran Thetis this morning, I realised my TX Meter is not working. ...

Dear Scot, Static IP is programmed into Anan and PC. Today I downgraded ANAN 200D to Protocol 1 as the speed I was getting is 100mbps and immediately it was detected and working. I would like to go back to Protocol 2. It's a direct connection between the ethernet port of Alienware PC & Anan. MY ...

Please see link for details: https://apache-labs.com/al-products/1048/ANAN-8000DLE-MKII-HF--6M-200W-SDR-Transceiver.html 73, Abhi It's a welcome initiative. My 2 cents - it adds just 4 db's to the ANAN-8000DLE and is overkill for BLF-188XR rated for 1500W but it will run cooler though. A suggestion...

[quote="w-u-2-o"]OK, so the same old 8000 if you don't quibble about the revision of the Orion MKII, but without the annoying front panel, the complexity of the internal 50V upconverter, and smaller dimensions. All welcome changes, plus the lower price. However, there must be a 50 to 12VDC...

Hi Richie, I would request you to provide additional wide filters 20 kHz for DRM as the new pure DRM broadcasts are 18/20 kHz wide and we cant decode these new broadcasts. PowerSDR and DRM mode must have been incorporated 15 years ago when 9/10 kHz filters. This is the most appropriate time to revi...

Hardware required for SO2R
Hello,
I am interested in SO2R using 2 ANAN transceivers.
What sort of hardware do I need?
I find the topic a little confusing hence I need guidance from friends here.
Also, what are the alternatives to receiver guard sold by DX Engineering DXE-RG5000HD?
Thank you,

For the same reason, I have not opened the box and taken out PK-232SC+ to the shack table.
Spent around $650 few years ago. Used MBX till late 90's
I am sure it has better filters though.
