Re: Thetis v2.10.3.3 released
Can I ask when 2.10.3.4 will drop? I'm just building a new PC with Win11 Enterprise 23H2 and will wait for 2.10.3.4 to come down if its not too far away. :) A pre-release of 2.10.3.4 is available, but has had very little testing. https://github.com/ramdor/Thetis/releases/tag/v2.10.3.4-pre-release R...

PA Profile Banner Showing in Thetis v2.10.3.3
I'm not sure if it's by design, but I'm seeing a PA Profile banner inserted into Thetis' display when alternating between screen expand and collapse. At least in my case, it overwrites onto the custom containers. A right-click on the banner opens up the PA settings window, but there's no option to r...

Re: CPU Volts and Amp meters not working - Thetis 2.10.2.2
I'm running a 7000DLE MKII (soon to be replaced by a G-2-1K) CPU usage on mine pretty matches the System number but the Thetis-only number is a bit low compared to what System Informer shows by about a factor of 2. System informer is MUCH better than task manager. https://www.systeminformer.com/ Mi...

would there be 11m signal from the radio when on the 10m band? Doubtful but you can verify the presence of a <28 MHz RF component with a general coverage receiver or a TinySA handheld spectrum analyzer. https://www2.randl.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=16_16990&products_id=75961...

Re: HP (HeadPhone Impedance requirements
Thanks Jim for the information. I looked at that diagram before I posted the question. Now after looking at it again, I am totally unable to figure out how you got 16 or 32 ohms. According to the datasheet, the TLV320 output Z at the headphone output pins is close to 0 ohms -- like many active amp ...

Re: Relays in transmit path ?
Are relays still used for T/R switching or does the G2 use pin diodes? If relays, any differences from the 7000 series? Specifically, is the pure signal relay still in parallel with the T/R relay so its always used even if the mode isn't SSB? Thanks Ron N4XD Ron, Good questions, and I hope someone ...

Re: Voltage On PTT Out After Power Blink
Hello Paul, Someone had said that the ANAN's didn't need such a circuit so I stopped using one. A round about Lesson to remember that's for sure. Ken WB4AM A common mistake is assuming that the current-carrying capacity at the PTT Out jack is the same as the open-drain current rating as shown on th...

Re: Voltage On PTT Out After Power Blink
I wouldn't normally recommend an amplifier key line buffer when using modern amplifiers, but several instances of PTT line transistor failure have occurred after various surge-related events. In my experience, switching FETs are more prone to voltage spike failure than bipolar transistors. The buffe...

Scope sensitivity is a function of: (1) the Rx AF control; and (2) AGC Gain control.

I ran into an installation issue with Thetis v2.10.0, then reverted to G7KLJ's v2.09.31. Before installing v2.10.0, the old Thetis version was deleted in Windows' program add...

Re: Wrong SWR on 6m only? UPDATE SWR on all bands is out to lunch
I will post some numbers. I also re-installed an old Thetis, same results. FWIW, I see the same bizarre 6m SWR behavior with my 7000DLE. Thetis' SWR is all over the map when transmitting into an open circuit, changing the ANAN's ANT ports to open versus closed, but always reports 1:1 into a 50-ohm ...

Some more explanation. Some of the capabilities of the 590 (e.g. morse padddle input and keyer, not implemented on the HL2) are easier to access and the 590 is 100W output vs 5W on the Hermes Lite 2 (although I have a TL922 interfaced and teste with the HL2/Thetis). Re: Anan-G2 Rear Panel Ports/Connectors
I'll pontificate: to make best use of that series jack (whether standard or mini XLR) requires passing a screw through the panel to avoid the so-called "Pin 1 Problem." It's almost certain that PCB-mount jacks will be used. Although difficult to see, Neutrik provides a conductive strap bet...

Re: Pure Signal, out-of-band improvement question
If I understand correctly, Pure Signal should improve the out-of-band spurious performance of a linear (i.e. second, third, etc harmonics) in the same way that it improves in-band splatter (signal width on the waterfall). A question: is it reasonable to assume that Pure Signal can clean up the outp...

Steve, Some of us HL2 users have added an HL2+ companion audio board. Awhile back, I experienced some difficulty finding a compatible version of Thetis but did eventually. Re: Can ANAN radios be used as spectrum analysers to test filters?
Bhanu, Just to be clear, the sweep utility under the "Tests" tab sweeps only audio frequencies at the VFO's carrier frequency. It does not allow for sweeping the RF carrier as is normally the objective when sweeping RF filters. The ANAN's RF carrier frequency remains fixed. So, for HF filt...
