Re: Severe problem with PureSignal
I'm not sure what the problem is, yet. 1. The plots you show on 12 meters, when the blue line starts to go horizontal at the top right corner that indicates that the internal amp is badly overdriven and well into saturation. That's obviously bad. Have you calibrated the internal watt meter? Do you ...

Re: Severe problem with PureSignal
Scott, When I got home this evening I checked the S-ATT for each band at 41 watts: Band....S-ATT 160.......13 80.........13 60.........13 40.........13 30.........13 20.........12 17.........12 15.........12 12.........12 10.........13 6...........7 I also made the changes to the PS settings you sug...

Re: Severe problem with PureSignal
Yes, all of those PS curves look very nearly the same regardless of whether I'm on the internal sampler or an external sampler. I'm not smart enough to be able to imagine what might be causing the ugly PS curves, other than maybe a very bad non-linearity in my PA stage or a wonky feedback circuit. B...

Re: Severe problem with PureSignal
Please post a screen shot of your Linearity > Advanced window. What S-ATT value are you getting with 41W on 20M? Here's my PS settings, I've tried the full gamut of settings over the years but this is what works best for me: PureSignal Settings.jpg I'm at work so I can't see the S-ATT value but I'm...

Severe problem with PureSignal
My early model 7000DLE MKII has a problem with PureSignal behavior on several bands, but it's so severe on 20 meters that it's totally unusable. Here's a snapshot of the PS curves on 20 meters, captured with the internal sampler at 41 watts drive. The resulting TX audio is quite nasty! 20 meters 41 ...

Re: Rumbling audio,,,,again
In my experience, whenever I first start a Thetis session in SSB mode and am listening to a portion of band that has nothing but noise floor, there is a distinct rumble. But as soon as any voice appears in the passband the rumble goes away and never returns even after the voice is gone. So I've neve...

Re: Rumbling audio,,,,again
Did anyone bother to try the suggestion I posted? If you click on any QSO in the panadapter where human speech is present, the rumble will go away and stay away.

Re: Rumbling audio,,,,again
Trucker,
That rumbling is normal, I hear it on my setup all the time. If you click on any active QSO in your panadapter the rumbling will disappear and will stay gone after that.

I've had at least 2 updates since I saw the problem rear its head, so I'd have to roll back several versions. I'm not sure that can be done except to start with a fresh (reset) install of the latest released Win11.

VAC state is saved in TX Profile. Whatever TX Profile comes up on boot will determine VAC state.

DirectX Resize Error with Custom Meters after Windows 11 Beta Update
Getting the Resize Error that was mentioned awhile back, after Windows 11 Beta updated to 23H2 Build 22631.2129. The problem exists if any custom Meters exist. Restarted Windows with Clean Boot and the problem remains. DxDiag shows no problem with DirectX. Just reporting my observation and wondering...

There is no such thing as an 8000 G2, regardless of power output capability.

Re: ANAN-7000DLE SK R.I.P.
If I recall, the most recent listed price for the 7000DLE was $3395, but with the FPGA supply chain situation that Apache Labs has been wrestling with and with the G2 currently going for $3495, I can see how Apache Labs would have eventually been forced to make the decision to leave the 7K behind. Hi Mark. I wonder if there is any way to address this issue with customs at time of shipping? I just paid the final invoice—is there a specific form I should request from Fedex at this point? -- Bob, Ki1n It appeared to me at the time (3 years ago) that some radios were being stopped by Customs and...

On an unrelated but scary note, per the weather link in your QRZ page I'm seeing the temperature at your QTH is 101 but the heat index is 120 -- and no breeze! Whew!

When I learned that my 7000DLE was hung up in Customs 3 years ago (after 3 days of wondering why shipping updates had simply ceased) I contacted Customs myself and learned that they needed more information before they would release the package (i.e., what was in the package, lots of specific info on...
