Re: P2 Coherent Diversity Issue
That is sort of what I figured regarding the stitched receivers. Went back and tried PowerSDR ... have not used it for a few years. Seems like a major step backwards now, but at the time it seemed great! Not going to go down that route. For now I think I will use non-coherent diversity with RX2 audi...

Re: P2 Coherent Diversity Issue
Since Thetis works with P1, and diversity is quite stable if I run P1 (and Thetis), I thought that you were saying if I disabled PS, I could get to 384k using P1 and Thetis. If that makes sense ... The problem only occurs with P2 and Thetis.

Re: P2 Coherent Diversity Issue
It is odd, if I start Thetis without starting the receiver, I see other sample rates to choose including 384k. But the moment I start the receiver (with the start/power button) it changed to 192k and that is the max rate available ... with P1 FW. I have tried to turn off PS, maybe it is still on som...

Re: P2 Coherent Diversity Issue
[quote]You can run 384K in PowerSDR with PureSignal disabled. There's no magic "sensitization". It's a bug in the P2 firmware, possibly related to marginal timing closure in the firmware design. [quote] I reverted back to P1, and with PS-A not checked the max sample rate available is still...

Re: P2 Coherent Diversity Issue
It's odd for sure. It seems like the additional load of running diversity somehow affects stability. I started running diversity quite a bit, for hours at a time, and found this occasional instability. After playing with it I found that toggling it on and off repeatedly helps to make it recur faster...

P2 Coherent Diversity Issue
Thetis 2.8.11 Have tried P2 FW from V1.2 to V2.0b On 80m I have a local broadband noise source, that coherent diversity can null by about 10 dB, which can make quite a difference. I usually run RX1 and RX2 on CTUN, using a 384k sample rate. It works well except for this issue. If I click diversity o...

Re: Slave RX1 and RX2 AF?
Aaaaha ... I think I got it, which makes sense.
So, just to be clear, when using diversity with RX1 as reference, there is no need to even enable VAC on RX2 or use the RX2 audio in any way. Right?
Thanks!

Slave RX1 and RX2 AF?
Hi,
When using diversity and tuned to the same frequency, is there some way to slave the AF levels of RX1 and RX2 together to one control?

It seems like setting the QSK delay to 300msec or so is equivalent to the semi-break in mode.

This is the first time I am trying CW with my 7000DLE. Thetis 2.8.11, P2 Using VAC Using MPR40 to send CW via a Com port DUP enabled When using semi-break in, I can't get any sidetone (or received version of the TX signal). When using QSK I can get the sidetone, or perhaps more accurately I am heari...

Re: Thetis display data
I guess I was referring to my display, which has PS-A enabled, the data to the left, it seems to be related to the cursor position and displays absolute frequency, absolute level, and offset. I would prefer to have it disabled myself.

Re: Thetis display data
I believe the data represents the value of frequency offset from the center of the display, and absolute amplitude or time depending on where your cursor is. It is not useful to me, but I guess it is to some. I wish you could disable it.

I also use Thetis. In addition to the points already made, a big reason for me is that is where most of the effort is being made in terms of bug fixing and improvements, that specifically target the Anan series of radios.

Re: Thetis 2.8.11 Released!
Got it. Seems like this might also be useful if you are having a lot of sequence errors when PS-A is running. I have tried all of the FW, and I think the GB Ethernet interface is marginal in terms of timing and stability. Two of the FW version work, sort of OK, but if I run a net for an hour toward ...

I would like to also see much lower steps in RIT, if you get it working well, including via MIDI it would be great to get that checked into the released code base.
Thanks for trying it.

If you perform a single cal, does the system use that static calibration and apply fixed predistortion? Or does it not apply any predistortion afterwards?

Re: Slowing Wheel Tuning Speed
Well, I guess I finally got it. If (and only if) you have the wheel speed toggled, then (and only then) does the Min/Max steps come into play. Very nice, just not intuitive on the setup, but works great.

Ahhhh! Got it. I don't think I ever scrolled down so far and noticed all of those options at the bottom.
I would still like to understand (the engineer in me) why the MIDI updates/step control does not seem to affect things.
Thanks!

Thanks Scott, When you get back please share your methods of controlling the wheel speed. Perhaps I don't quite get the Min/Max options, but they don't seem to work for me. Slowing Wheel Tuning Speed
Using an Anan-7000 DLE Mk II, Thetis 2.8.11, Hercules DJControl Compact. I have the main VFO tuning on the left wheel, but want to slow down how fast the frequency changes. The MIDI Wheel updates/step min and max settings seem to have no impact. Is there some other way to accomplish this? Thanks, /D...

Re: ANAN-6000DLE
Curious as to how the 6000 is progressing, I like the option of a lower power version that can drive an amp. Not sure I would implement HV finals. I understand the better IMD performance, not sure it is worth the added cost and complexity of an additional HV supply, particularly at these power level...

Minor Feature Request
Hi, I know this has been broached before, but I would love it if the capability of the RX2 AF gain control would "assume" the AF gain control of the RX1 sub-receiver, if RX2 is not enabled. You can still leave the two Volume controls at the bottom beside the MultiRX button, just make the R...

Re: Anan 7000dle and pure signal setting
Yes, you must reduce power for sure. I don't think the recalibration to lower powers will change the linearity, it is just the TX chain gain you are lowering.
The only problem with an external attenuator is how to remove it from the RX path, assuming you put one in line with the amp input.

Re: Anan 7000dle and pure signal setting
What can help with more resolution for lower only output powers on the 7000 is to possibly re-calibrate the transmitter, concentrating only on generating a lower maximum power. I think ... The export versions of the SPE amps have great gain, but are a real pain to use with most 100W transceivers. Doug

Re: Anan 7000dle and pure signal setting
The 1.3 is a good amplifier (I have one), but the top end characteristics are soft, what you are seeing is the way it is, you should probably back it off a bit, although the PS can do a good job of linearization, you gain nothing in terms of output power and are completely dependent on PS to keep th...
