Previous versions had N issue showing the correct cpu usage. I had to look in Windows Task Manager to see actual usage. That has now been corrected..

Re: Thetis skins installer
Sigi, I got this message from Windows Defender this evening after a scheduled scan: Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.B!ml file: C:\Users\DELL\Downloads\Thetis.Big.Skin.Installer.exe This was in Windows 11 PRO . I went ahead and deleted the file. Funny thing is, I installed the skins from your download the day y...

Ritchie, thanks for the explanation. The blocks have rarely flickered. So, I did as you suggested and turned the warning LED's off. Everything seems to be very stable.
I do appreciate you explaining this to me. (Getting old can cause problems sometimes!)

Re: Thetis v2.10.2 pre-release
Just installed. Everything seems to be working well. I have noticed the Sequence Error blocks in the upper left corner of the spectrum display blinking occasionally. ( hadn't been happening in the official release) But, otherwise no problems. I also noticed a new feature for Wireshark. Is it integra...

Found a photo of the new CM5 Pi. The connectors on the underside of the module seem to be different as there is a third connector that the CM4 doesn't seem to have.

Re: Anan 8000DLE Fan replacement
When I replaced the filter in my 8000DLE it was obvious the fan was pulling air out of the case. The filter was dirty on the inside. Had it been pulling air from outside into the case, it would have pulled the foam filter into the fan .

@truckercm4_saturn.jpg Thank you Martin. A friend that has a G2 sent me some photos. But, it was difficult to tell what connections there were to the main board. I could see the four standoffs at the corners. But, the CM4 module is so close to the main board that I can't tell what kind of connectio...

Re: G2 Software and Firmware Updates 27 Aug 2023
Laurance, are the Compute modules interchangeable by the user? Or will it require a trip to someone to remove and replace the CM4? I have looked at many photos of the G2 interior and none are clear enough to see how easy a module can or cannot be, to replace if needed.

Bob, I believe there are some updates to PiHPSDR that may address the problems you are having. Look in the PiHPSDR thread as that is where I remember reading about similar issues being resolved.

Downloaded and installed with Windows 11 Pro last night. Windows didn't do anything until I went to install. Then, as it does quite often, it started to block installation until I selected run anyway. It installed with no problems. I did a quick virus scan and nothing showed up. Sometimes, Windows i...

Laurance, if you didn't modify the driver, where did you make the "corrections " to make it work on ARM processors?
Not trying to be difficult. I just want to understand what needs to be done to make the XDMA interface work correctly.

Re: rec audio clicking/chopping on peaks
I am not sure if this is relevant, but when I use my V1 controller running PiHPSDR ( with my 8000DLE) which is using an older version of the Raspberry Pi, I don't experience any audio glitches. PiHPSDR in the controller is using WDSP for audio processing. I would think the CM4 module is more powerfu...

More Raspbian Linux fun. I finally managed to resize the File explorer window where I can drag stuff to the desktop if needed. I still haven't found out how to properly create a shortcut for the desktop. Later versions of Raspbian seem to be easier to create shortcuts. From what I have found so far,...

I did some reading on a Raspbian Linux forum and managed to get the desktop going. I can run PiHPSDR from the file folder it is located in. But, so far trying to create a desktop shortcut is challenging to say the least! The File explorer ( I know, a Windows term) opens in full screen and I cannot s...

V1 controller display problem
I have a V1 controller that came with my 8000DLE. It works fine. But, if I close PiHPSDR instead of going to the Raspbian desktop, I get a blank screen. I can hook a mouse to the controller and can move the pointer. Plus, if I right click I get a menu where I can select a display screen. The only pr...

New firmware coming for the Icom 7610 for Digital Pre-Destortion. ( Icom's term) It will work standalone and with the soon to be released, PW-2 amplifier. Supposedly before the end of this year. And it should work with other amplifiers with the proper connections. James WD5GWY https://www.icomjapan....

Re: rec audio clicking/chopping on peaks
I was under the impression that you could not run PiHPSDR and P2app at the same time. The manual states it's one or the other, not both at the same time.
Maybe, that is the source of the problem.

Keep in mind that people get worried and start posting while waiting. But, don't always post an update when they do get notice of shipping or have received their new radios.
You may not see anything more from them unless they encounter problems setting up their new radio.

Gave up for the evening and hooked the 8000DLE to my backup pc. Everything working great.
I think I will leave well enough alone and use this pc for Thetis and the 8000DLE only.
The other pc can run other things.

Just did a double check with PowerSDR and my 5000A. Works fine with the USB microphone on the same computer that Thetis is installed on and not able to connect to the microphone.
It's really an odd thing. And it will turn out to be something simple with my luck!

Hadn't thought about doing that since it worked with PowerSDR and my 5000A.

I'll give it a try.
