Re: Thetis v2.9.0 - Updates and Issues
Regarding the PA calibration topic, is there anything I have to do if running a fresh install of Thetis? I noticed my stated wattage output is 100 watts when the drive slider = 50. What do I have to change to make 100 slider = 100 watts? Attached are my existing (default) settings. Do I need to cali...

Some buttons have a white shade to them
Any idea how to fix some of my buttons "ZTB" and "2TON". They have a strange white haze over the button. I have installed fresh and even tried updating the skins but they still show this way. See attached:

Playback recording
When using the line-in port for audio, and VAC disabled, when quick recording my transmit voice, the quick playback when NOT transmitting looks like a double sideband signal in the panadapter and its all distorted to hell. HOWEVER, when I PTT to transmit, that same audio then sounds natural and matc...

Re: Low latency filtering quality
This is my A/B at a tx buffer/filter sizes of 128/4096, which I normally operate at, comparing Linear Phase (test A) and Low Latency (test B) modes. The offending effect is not as obvious as at 64, but I can still pick apart the ringing twang left in the audio while Low Latency (test B) is active. T...

Re: Thetis v2.8.11 - UPDATES and current issues
Bravo! Could you make a legend of how the new VAC buffer iconography works? I noticed when I click on it on the GUI, it disappears, will it show up again if a over/under flow occurs? Greatly appreciated and a awesome job.

Great work so far!!! Thanks for your time, you didn't have to pick up this programming gauntlet yet here you are providing great features on what would otherwise be stagnant software.

Re: Low latency filtering quality
I can appreciate the low latency setting for cw, however my position is for best audio on voice, it's advantageous to keep linear phase. WU2O, I will do my own scope test and provide sound samples. Once I hear the twang, it's immediately blatant a fellow anan'r is using low latency mode. Will provid...

Re: Low latency filtering quality
Hello all. I have gone back and forth between "Linear Phase" and "Low Latency" DSP filter options the past few days and have come to the conclusion low latency adds an untuned piano string type of twang to the sound. Especially the upper frequency treble sounds. I have also had m...

Re: Thetis v2.8.11 - UPDATES and current issues
Is there a way to match receive and transmit display graphs? When I transmit the scale gets bigger, and adjusting the zoom makes it smaller of course, but I can never quite get it to match. I had it matching at one point but did a database reset and cant figure it out. My tune signal is also off cen...

Re: S-Meter Calibration
I see the conundrum. Call it old habits, Im simply not used to having ALL signals generally above S9, especially when biased with 2 other radios. I just reset the database and will try it out again for a day. The dbm and microvolt readouts appear within rational scope as before. Guess I'll get one o...

Re: S-Meter Calibration
What good is the S-meter if most of my signal contacts, even weak ones, are S9 + 10 over? This is why... I can't respond to my contacts telling each and everyone of them you're 10 over lol. I'll reset the database yet again and see if the S-meter is more reasonable upon reset.

Re: S-Meter Calibration
Thx for the replies, I went to the calibration menu and changed the default -70db level reference to -80db reference at 5.000 mhz WWV and at least have a closer representation to what I'm used to. I'm not after exact perfect values, but enough to match the two other radios. Thanks !

S-Meter Calibration
Is there a way to calibrate the S-Meter such that it matches reasonably to what my yaesu 3000 ft-dx and kenwood 870 exhibit? I primarily use 40 meters and have an average of an s-4 noise floor. I notice using my 7000 mk ii the average noise floor sits around s8 to s9. This is on a fully reset databa...

Re: Issue with Behringer XAir12
Quite right WU2O!
And here I am using an Omnia 9 haaaaaaa.
Fortunately it comes lately with a low latency driver that has 12ms inherent latency, certainly better than the 100+ ms latency on the "high quality mode" (which is really just look ahead limit processing).

Re: Issue with Behringer XAir12
I now have several dozen hours behind Thetis and my 7000 dle mk ii. Thetis will always have a delay in it if using the MON feature, there is no way around it. I have reduced mine down to 50 milliseconds and have tried everything. My CPU in my machine is overclocked to 5.5ghz so I know that all hardw...

Re: Thetis v2.8.11 - UPDATES and current issues
If you use PS it will be adjusted. There are also times when it is reset to 31. Richie. Thanks for the reply. I am not quite understanding why in some cases it goes all the way up to zero attenuation? Won't this blow out some receiver module? Shouldn't it be hardlocked to at least 15db attenuation?...

Re: Thetis v2.8.11 - UPDATES and current issues
I discovered a bug with the "attenuation during tuning". I set mine to be 30db attenuation. Save profile and all that. Close thetis. Open it back up, and it arbitrarily gets set back to default, or random numbers. In some cases it gets changed to 0 ! This caused me to get a ADC overload me...

Re: Using line in on rear of 7000 for microphone
I am sending line-level audio to the Line-in port on the back of my 7000 mkii and it works good. You have to use the headphone output on the front to get any audio, otherwise you have to use VAC to send the audio out elsewhere it appears.

Re: A few questions from a new 7000MKII owner
Thank you for the response. It turns out I needed to check the "enable keyboard shortcuts" variable in order for the PTT to work on spacebar. lol. Certainly beats having to click all the time. I now understand how transmit profiles affect many other variables upon load. Are there any...

First time using Puresignal
Hello, I am a new user of a 7000 mkii and have read in the manual I need a dummyload in order to initiate the PS enabling process. If I don't have a dummyload at the moment, should I just leave puresignal off? No way to get it working alternatively?
Thanks kindly.

A few questions from a new 7000MKII owner
I have a few questions as I am a noob to the anan 7000 mkii still. 1. I noticed sometimes my buffer size and filter selections in DSP don't save across program reboots. Peculiar. 2. What do I have to set for spacebar PTT to work again, or really anything else? I am getting a little tired having to c...
