Re: Band Noise
If their signal is in your passband…it’s in your passband. There are plenty of SSB signals that are intended to be 3kHz but so dirty with IMD they are 9 kHz wide or worse. Doesn’t matter what your receiver is, if the signal is in your tuned passband, you are going to receive it.

Re: PS without amp sampling
I run it all the time, one amp works well with the coupler output, one does not. With the one that doesn’t work well, I simply run PS on the local loop back. Over the air there is no distinguishable difference. It is the cleanest signal you will see on the bands. If it bothers you when it hunts arou...

Champagne wishes and caviar dreams. A cleaner voice keyer interface. It would be sweet to have a matrix of say a dozen buttons you could assign .wav files to or a list of files even, but with single click playback and maybe a right click context to loop on a specified timer. A small floating panel w...

That would be a nice addition :-) What I am missing (coming from SDR Console rx-side) is this ;-) if-display.jpg No need to zoom in, to have a closer look to the signal.. 73 Ernst I like that FFT view as well. Ernst just by chance if you didn’t know, you can use SDRConsole with the Anan (at least s...

TCI would be pretty slick, more and more software is supporting it and amp manufacturers are adding support as well now.
It would be a slog to code that all out though .

Re: Transmit oddity
I see the same, I just toggle power. I call it a “visual glitch”. On SSB the whole screen goes wide, but I’ve verified it’s definitely not going over the air. Sometimes it will show the TX in the opposite sideband as well, again, just the visual display. I think it’s something to do with packet sequ...

Re: Thetis v2.8.11 - current issues
Thanks for all the work you’ve done. I’d love a diversity screen that scales so when a corner is dragged it just resizes and scales to the window size. This one is a stretch but it would be super cool to see a multi-bar pop-out window showing the effective db compression drop of each band of the CFC...

Re: Over the Air Rumors and lack of Thetis updates???
I own both, a 7000 and a 2 DX. They don’t move very fast with updates, the software is a more modern and better functioning control surface but they have their share of bugs that are not fixed. The 2 DX only has a single ADC so even though they insist they are adding adaptive pre-distortion, I’m uns...

Re: 7000DLE MKII Frequency Drift
That diagonal drift is something I ran into with fldigi early on when I was figuring out my Anan. My “fix” was to ensure VAC and everything in the chain was 48kHz, buffer to 2048 and clicking “force” on the resampler. I left the buffers on auto and I was good to go at that point. I have a 7000 but I...

Cool. I know, super greedy to ask but after you get this sorted out, what would be super cool is a small panel, where .wav files could be assigned resulting in a tile being created and when the tile is clicked, they play back exactly as you described here. The purpose is simply to have a collection ...

Re: Audio popping on strong SSB signal
Stuff that I’ve run into and set up to fix this. I have a dedicated GigE link and network for the SDRs, no other traffic on the network, just one SDR runs at a time. Made a big improvement. Malware Bytes was doing some sort of packet inspection is my assumption, always interfered. Uninstalled that, ...

I went from a Scarlett 3rd gen 8i6 to a Motu M2 and the Motu drivers are far better behaved and more stable. I also have a very old M-Audio Fast Track that was better than the Scarlett as well.

Re: Warbled receive audio.
Yup the echo is RF on the audio. I struggled for months with it on just 40m. Put ferrite torroid cores all over and did some antenna work, now it’s gone. I had the echo not only on the Anan but on a SunSDR2 DX as well. I did find that in my case it would get in over the USB sound card using VAC and ...

Re: How to solve latency problems and VAC under/overflows in Windows 10
Thanks for this. Made the changes today and one telltale sign it improved things is that when I had Chrome running and loaded a YouTube index page with all the thumbnails on it, if I scrolled that page it would cause interrupt jitter in the RX audio and now it's all gone. I suspect the network chang...

Re: New 7000DLE Mk2 black arrives issues
A thousand times no on anything that is not Bootloader where P2 is concerned. You need to install winpcap (Google it) for Bootloader to work correctly. That's what is missing. With the 7000 mkII DLE, which is what I have, I’ve now run into four recent owners who insisted on using the boot loader an...

Re: New 7000DLE Mk2 black arrives issues
The latest version of Thetis should “just work” with P1 running on it. Try that first, radio should work. To load P2 I recommend using the Programmers instead, download both the P1 and P2 Programmer. Use the P1 Programmer to load the P2 firmware (2.0.0b has been working for me) and you should be off...

Re: A "jangling" artifact on TX and RX audio, related to filter size?
Yup, just tested it this morning. NR2 has no effect. Buffer size didn't change it either. The filter size is where it was with the combo of the low-latency option. At 4096 it's so minimized, nearly gone, 8192 it becomes more prevalent again. So easy enough just run it at 4096 for me and it works wel...

Re: A "jangling" artifact on TX and RX audio, related to filter size?
Thanks Scott, I was kind of grabbing params until I didn’t hear it anymore. I’ll check tomorrow by putting the buffer size back to 64. I was initially at buffer 64 , size 8192, low latency and the 7 filter when someone pointed it out on my TX audio...and I had been noticing it in my recordings while...

A "jangling" artifact on TX and RX audio, related to filter size?
I thought I'd asked this before but maybe not. I've noticed an odd "jangling" like shaking a bag of metallic objects or shaking a metal chain that is an artifact on voice peaks that I can hear on receive with strong signals and it can be heard on my TX audio as well when signals are strong...

Re: SDRConsole and Anan 7000DLE MKII
I would try the .26 version maybe as .27 is the latest pre-release. The TX audio is better with Thetis though and you get Pure Signal as well. Been a while but I don’t think Diversity is implemented either. SDRConsole, though I love it with other receivers I have, is not a full function equal to The...

I use two ways to do it. A multi port switch with a dummy load on the COM. Anan on the active port and a receiver on the 2nd port. With the typical Alpha Delta switch, there is plenty of leakage on the switch for the 2nd receiver. I use an RSPdx from SDR Play and SDRConsole with it. It has simple re...
