Anan10E Questions
Hello, I may go look at an Anan10E. Is there any latest Thetis updates for the 10E or any issues? What is the difference between the 10E and the Anan-100? I understand the 100 watts and the 14 bit verses 16 bit. In a normal rag chew can one tell the difference between the 14 and the 16 bit? I have a...

Re: Thetis / Anan Remote
Hello Scott, Thanks for the reply. To bad we can't do remote in an easy fashion. When the Flex5K first came out I did remote the FLX5K with "remote possibilities" and also with "team viewer" as well. I also had to use an audio program to remote the audio, I forget now what it I u...

Thetis / Anan Remote
Hello, Is anyone remoting their ANAN in Thetis? I can remote the Anan with the Teamviewer App, and I am able to transmit but the TX audio is very low. I don't really know how to set it up, but what I have discovered, if I check the Vac 1 and Vac 2 boxes, it will work but again the TX audio is way to...

Re: Band Noise
Hello and thank you all for your replies. I understand clearly what a signal looks like when it is in my pass band, that is obvious! All Amateurs better understand the difference, but I get it because there are more Appliance Operators then there are DIY Hams out here today. Surface mounting doesn't...

Re: Band Noise
Have you activated NR? If so, try it without activated NR. 73 Ernst Thank you Ernst for the reply back. NR doesn't really help all that much for me, sometimes it pays to turn it on but mostly iI soon turn it because it really doesn't help. I rarely use it. Thank you just the same. 73 Ken Do you mea...

Band Noise
Hello All, Not sure if this has been brought up, probably. I can be listening on a frequency, lets say on 75 meter. All is well until someone who may come on to another frequency a good ways down or up from where I am parked and the Pan-adapter signal will raise tremendously with tremendous amount o...

Re: Anan 100 RJ45 Jack
Hello and thank you Scott, Rob, and Norbert. All good sound advice! I will to do the re-soldering of the pins first and then test. If that doesn't fix it, I will have a look at that chip that is mentioned. I placed an ad on QTH hoping to find another Anan 10, 16 bit board only for a reasonable price...

Re: Anan 100 RJ45 Jack
Hello Scott, Sorry about that! I suppose I have a habit of assuming that everyone assumes what I am saying! Yes, by placing the cardboard between the board and the shelf that the board is mounted on just below the RJ45, puts just the right amount of pressure where needed to reconnect the broken link...

Anan 100 RJ45 Jack
Hello, Anan-100 with bad data connections at RJ45. I know this because I had taken off the transceiver's front plate to access the RJ45 and placed a small piece of cardboard between the board and the shelf that it is mounted on and all works fine! How to fix the band-aid is my question? I am not sur...

Re: Andromeda???
Hello,
Not sure where to post this...
Will the new Andromeda allow the old back grounds to be used in the pan-adapter window?
For an example, I have four 833 Tubes in the back ground, and I would like to continue this look.
So is the Gui still changeable to the end user?
Thank you,
Ken

Re: Anan 100 What is the actual Rear Jack speaker impedance
Hello Scott, Thanks for the reply as usual. I looked at the schematics and looked at the data sheets on this chip. I copied a section of one of the data sheets that I have in question. The last statement that I have turned "Red" for a visual affect is what is in question. What Speaker outp...

Anan 100 What is the actual Rear Jack speaker impedance
Hello, I have been using standard and sometimes better then standard amplified PC speakers. I would like to purchase maybe a 7 to 8 inch speaker or speakers and build an amp to drive them. I believe the output in wattage is about 2 watts, but what speaker impedance should be used? I have had this An...

Glad I could offer some ideas Ken. I enjoyed looking at your QRZ page and laughed when you mentioned Joe W3GMS as someone who has been helpful to you with your heavy metal equipment over the years. Joe has always been a great help to me as well, especially when I was building my 4-400 x 833 rig bac...

Re: Cannot connect to Anan 100 from any PC
Hi Ken, I'm not sure if this is what you are referring to about the installation process but if you are installing a new version over a previous version the FFT calculations will not run again as long as the wdspWisdom file is still present in the windows "Users" path located in the OpenH...

Hello Scott, Thank you for your reply. I read all I could skimming through a lot of it but I did absorb the highlights to help give me more understanding here and there. I decide to switch to another PC again and this other PC appeared to allow Thetis and any networking needed to work together. Howe...

Re: Cannot connect to Anan 100 from any PC
Ok first I must say... Stupid is as Stupid does !!! I wouldn't admit to this but it is only fair to do so!!! My biggest stupid action so far! I was placing the firmware in the Boot Loader software at the bottom of the window where the Jtag firmware belonged. Being frustrated I saw the word firmware ...

Re: Cannot connect to Anan 100 from any PC
When I'm around and not busy I can reply fast. This morning just happens to be a good time. There are a few reasons why ping is not working. If you are in bootloader mode that mode does not support ping. If you are in normal mode it does support ping, but if the firmware is messed up because of a b...

Good Morning Scott, You amaze me how fast you reply back sometimes beside your wealth of information. Thank you by the way. I have also tired to ping the Anan and it does not see it. As mentioned before I used to hear this clicking or at least a slight static clicking sound in my speakers when turni...

Re: Cannot connect to Anan 100 from any PC
Hello Scott, Sorry for posting in the incorrect location. Ok I have the jumper on j12 and Boot Loader does recognize the the Mac number, so I take it that its communication to the Anan. Cannot connect to Anan 100 from any PC
Ok I will try to keep this short as possible but...here goes... After installing Metis_hermans_protocol_2_v10.8_pre4.rbf for the Anan 100 and udgrading to 2.6.9. 1/25/20, I would have drop outs or the software would lock up. I found it did not lock up as much on another PC that is sits next to one t...
