Re: Firmware Upate for G2
Since updating the firmware on the G2 generally also involves updating the middleware (p2app) and often the client software as well, all of that discussion has been concentrated in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=48&t=4772

Re: View of GUI during TX
The settings you are looking for are found in Setup > Display > RX1, RX2 and TX. You will primarily be concerned with the RX spectrum grid settings and the TX grid scale settings. Note that RX settings can be set individually for each band. Rather than try to describe them in detail I'd suggest just...

Re: No output from Thetis after Asus computer updates
It sounds like a Windows firewall problem. Try the firewall check in Thetis setup.

No worries, Joe!
I hope you get the G2 you ordered soon.
It's unfortunate that nobody was able to answer your other question about cables.

Re: Anan-7000DLE MKII Problem writing firmeware
It is possible that an Ethernet cable has partially failed somewhere, perhaps when moving the ANAN around. If a cable has failed in a way that allows 100mbit/s but not GigE to run then bootloader will be fine but Thetis will not. This was never a problem with P1, but with P2 running at GigE speed it...

Re: TCP/Cat server
The problem looks to be with the VSPE configuration. You can't use a TCP client device. You have to use a combination of connector and TCP server.

That's the wrong sequence. Power cycle AFTER any movement of the bootloader switch.

Re: TCP/Cat server
In Thetis, the TCI server and TCP/IP CAT server are two different things. The bind port for the TCI/IP CAT server is what you want to put into VSPE. And you need to remember to enable the "Server Running" checkbox in Thetis. If this doesn't help you then please post screen shots of what yo...

Re: Full VAC or Hybrid audio
There's nothing wrong with your HD7's. They have an impedance of 32 ohms, like many high performance headphones do. Your PC simply can't drive them effectively. If and when you get an external interface that interface should drive them just fine.

Maybe I didn't explain good enough :D This is how I use Voicemeeter: Capture.JPG That way I can turn decide what audio goes in and out of Thetis and where it goes. Re: Full VAC or Hybrid audio
The UMC202HD has a simple, straightforward driver that is very easy to understand and set up and proven with Thetis cmASIO. The Revelator io24 is a more capable device that comes with a much more complex driver and a huge suite of audio software. It has not been proven with cmASIO but other Presonus...

Re: How to change "APIPA" IP?
You can't change an APIPA IP. They will automatically be assigned randomly over the range of 169.254.0.0 to 169.254.255.255. Your choices are: - APIPA assigned address. This address will be automatically set if there is no DHCP server and if no static IP is set in the ANAN. - DHCP assigned IP addres...

Re: Full VAC or Hybrid audio
If you don't want a headset with a boom mic that's no problem. Everyone makes a USB mic these days. Behringer, Mackie, even RØDE makes one. You can spend a few dollars, or a few hundred dollars! If you do decide to get an ASIO-capable interface I'd recommend just to get your feet wet with the UMC202...

Hi WU2O, I should have said that I'm not running an An (yet, I'm looking at it) but an Hermes Lite 2, this is my first SDR radio, só lots of questions about audio and Thetis, Voice meter, etc. HL2--IMHO they did this right by leaving out the CODEC and audio interfaces on the board. Re: Full VAC or Hybrid audio
What do you mean by "hybrid"? If you use an ASIO compatible sound interface (assume you mean the Behringer U-phoria UMC series) you are still using either cmASIO or VAC. The same is true for digital modes with Voicemeeter, you can use either cmASIO or VAC. cmASIO will be the absolute lowes...

Feasible, but you may need an attenuator.

Re: Implementation of Pure Signal by Dr. Pratt in other radio
It's more than that. First, remember that "the radio" is primarily contained in software element. The hardware element is little more than the front end and the first IF conversion. That means that any SDR that provides an appropriate feedback path and utilizes Thetis (or even PowerSDR mRX...

Re: VSPE, which is a good one to download
If you are connecting a tuner (or any hardware device) to the PC using RS232 serial communications and want it to communicate with Thetis, no "VSPE" is necessary. Merely assign the correct COM port in Thetis (Setup > Serial/Network/Midi/CAT > Serial). If you need to make a connection betwe...

Re: Is it worth upgrading from early 100D/200D rigs to latest Anan hardware?
Some additional thoughts: The newer hardware has a more effective thermal design. If the hardware is run at 100W all the time that may or may not be something of interest. That said, on the older 100 and 200 series units, the simple expedient of getting a small fan to blow across the top of the chas...
