Re: cmASIO feature in Thetis
Does your UMC appear in Thetis audio setup if it is registrated in registry? It should not be an option to switch to and should not be displayed.
Have you tried hostsample.exe?

Re: cmASIO feature in Thetis
Looks like this is the point. It should not be visible if all went right.
Hostsample.exe is mentioned in cmASIO Guide.pdf and can be downloaded at https://github.com/W4WMT/Thetis/releases/tag/v0.0
It gives you informations about installed ASIO devices.

cmASIO Guide.pdf is installed if you use the latest Thetis installer. You can also download it from https://github.com/ramdor/Thetis/blob/m ... 0Guide.pdf

Please check also there are no blanks after "ASIOdrivername" and the value "UMC ASIO Driver" in the registry.
In case of a "wrong" key (ie with blanks after the string) you will not get any cmASIO icon in Thetis.
In case of a wrong ASIO driver name you should get a red cmASIO icon in Thetis.
Re: cmASIO feature in Thetis
Have you already uninstalled and reinstalled the UMC drivers?

1. I uninstall Realtec + UMC ASISO driver
2. start up Thetis...no ASIO driver
3. plug in the USB-cable to my Behringer UMC202hd
4. install latest driver for UMC202HD
5. made the regkey setup ( and there was no emty field)
6. reboot PC

cmASIO doesn't work through the VAC menu settings. If you have VAC1 checked, un-select it.

Try to add the following key to the registry: ASIOblocknum (DWORD 32bit) and assign a value of 5 or 6
(Using cmAsio with VM virtual asio I have to set it here to 9 in order to get a glitch-free audio)

Re: cmASIO feature in Thetis
I wonder if most of this setup will be made easier in the future with some dropdown menus similar to how you set up VAC?
Anyway it's just nice to see ASIO in Thetis!
Thank You Thetis Dev team!!

Re: cmASIO feature in Thetis
Can cmASIO be used over the internet using remote desktop software?
I have been trying to use TeamViewer and Anydesk to listen to my 7000MKII. I have been unsuccessful getting any audio via cmASIO.
Interface is UM202HD. The UMC control panel displays the correct sample rate, buffer size and ASIO as active.
UMC202HD is no longer displayed as an option under VAC
In Thetis a green cm symbol is displayed in the lower ribbon.
In sound volume mixer Thetis and TeamViewer have the output device designation "OUT 1-2 (BEHRINGER UMC 202HD 192K)"
I do have audio as soon as I select VAC1 which is set to use MME.

Re: cmASIO feature in Thetis
Not directly. You can pass it through Voicemeeter to one of your remote access app's.Chipp wrote:Can cmASIO be used over the internet using remote desktop software?
If you have more questions about remote op's please post them in the remote op's part of the forum: viewforum.php?f=24

I run my Anan remote via OpenVPN,
The Thetis software run on my home PC here at home and my Anan at the temote....and cmASIO is running fine, so maybe an idea to use VPN in sted of RDP

A bit late to the party here. Just now setting up cmASIO in 2.10.3.6 dev per the published guidance. Using PreSonus 192 Mobile but Voicemeeter only for digital modes. So far, working as expected with no issues.

Hi All
Does anyone know what input channels are being used by cmASIO? Is it mono from channel #1, or a mono combination of channels #1 and #2?
Thanks

Mono combination.
Thank you. That explains the strange effect I was getting by running my unprocessed mic audio on channel 1 and processed audio on channel 2. I will have to come up with a new approach for getting DAW processed audio in.

Re: cmASIO feature in Thetis
I purchased a MOTU M2 card to test the cmASIO functionality, I created the text in regedit and everything worked fine straight away. Unfortunately I had to go back to the protocol1 firmware (I have a 7000 mk3 and the prot2 doesn't work well), the cm icon remains green but I can't hear anything anymore. I also tried resetting the db, and even reinstalling the motu and thetis drivers, but to no avail. Could it be that the cmASIO functionality only works with protocol2?
Re: cmASIO feature in Thetis
StefanoAlvaro wrote:Could it be that the cmASIO functionality only works with protocol2?
Hi OM,
Yes, that is correct, cmASIO is not supported by protocol_1.
I'll have to check why the icon is still green using protocol 1 (I thought we tested that).
As far as not being able to run protocol_2 on your MKIII, have you checked out all of Rick's N1GP firmware builds for that FPGA? He has quite a few, you might get lucky!

I've tried all 3 in the registry still no green cm at the bottom of Thetis, any suggestions ?
