Hi I am wondering if anyone can assist me with the OC CONROL TAB settings please, I need the the OC PIN OUT descriptions for an SPE 1.5 KFA please,
I am slightly familiar with the SW tab as EESDR SS2DX has similar
I would like to use Band Data hard wire from 7KMKII & SPE,
waiting for 7KMKII at this time,
Kind Regards

OC EXT CTRL Pin outs?
OC CONTROL TAB
Re: OC CONTROL TAB
Dennis,
Did you try searching the forum for "SPE"?
I did and got 22 hits:
search.php?keywords=spe
This particular one looks like your answer if the 1.5K is the same as the 1K:
viewtopic.php?f=15&t=2575&p=3812&hilit=spe
Bottom line: you don't need or want to use OC outputs to control any amp you can control via CAT, including the SPE amps.

Scott

Re: OC CONTROL TAB
yep, never found the correct reply yet, have you spotted Band Data info for DB-9 not DB-25?, would rather use Band data, same procedure as EESDR,
I will wait until rig arrives and run software and allocate,
do not want to use RS232 or TTL,
just band data if possible,
I connected EESDR SUNSDR2 DX which is very similar using Band Data,
hard wired from radio to amp,
see what transpires,
Thank you

Re: OC CONTROL TAB
Again, I can't recommend using anything but an RS232 method. Don't understand why you wouldn't want to do it this way.
Re: OC CONTROL TAB
Forget about OC, run serial using DDUTIL which can control SPE amps. I finally succeeded in coupling with my ACOM via DDUTIL.
No worries

Re: OC CONTROL TAB
Thank you Volker & Scott, I am speaking with Doug and he has consulted Warren,
I am waiting a reply, I am aware of the suggested paths, but they do not comply in this project,
Regards all,
will update as time goes on,
I use OC EXTCTRL on new EESDR SUNSDR2 DX, for external direct couple CAT
bye

Re: OC CONTROL TAB
If you must kill a fly with a sledgehammer, well that's your choice!
The answer to your question is that there are no specific settings. They are 100% programmable, they can be whatever you want, and they depend on how you wire the ANAN hardware to the SPE amp.
If you provide us with a wiring diagram and the relevant table out of the SPE manual (post images--use the "Attachments" tab below the posting editor) then we can tell you what boxes to check off in the OC settings page.
Don't forget that all of the OC lines must be pulled up to some voltage. This is usually done by the amp for you. Checking a box in the OC setting page causes that line to be switched to ground. An unchecked box leaves that line floating.
