Power spikes from ANAN 7000 DLE MKII and SS amps?

Hi,
I will be placing a brand-new Solid State (SS) amp in line in coming days, but wondered if the ANAN 7000 DLE MKII might generate "power spikes" before it puts out the RF drive level that I have set? It appears that some if not all SS amps really don't tolerate even very brief RF power spikes that might exceed the RF drive level that one has set. Although many SS amps also feature protection circuitry against most situations it also seems to me that that isn't always sufficient. Even using external RF digital vector RF/SWR meters (I have an LP-100A) for a trip aren't fast enough to catch very brief duration RF spikes. How solid/stable is the RF out?
Any advice or suggestions on handling the above for extra 'insurance' when using a SS amp?
Best!
