TCP/IP CAT - Thetis only?

Hello,

does anyone know, if other radios are supporting TCP/IP CAT? (not TCI).
I thought I have read that SmartSDR supports it and also Elecraft K4, but cannot find much information on that.

Reason:
I am in contact with a Log-Program developer, which has already implemented TCI. We want to determine if it's worth implementing TCPip cat as well.

Thanks & 73
Ernst

You may as well plan on it.

The K4 programming manual can be found here: https://elecraft.com/pages/k4-high-perf ... dr-manuals

The SmartSDR (Flex) programming guide is here: https://www.flexradio.com/documentation ... guide-pdf/

N1MM and DXLabs already support TCP/IP CAT for K4, SmartSDR and Thetis.

Ernst,

Kenwood TS-890 and TS-990 support TCP/IP CAT as well. Both are implemented by N1MM.

There are idiosyncrasies with these two rigs though. Both require userid and password use TCP/IP CAT and the TS-890 uses UTF8 while the TS-990 uses UTF16.

If your friend wants further details you can contact me directly as I have a TS-890 and I do use the TCP/IP CAT with my Node-Red dashboard / N1MM Spectrum display.

Of course I also use Thetis TCP/IP and the Spectrum Display that Richie implemented with my 7000DLE MKII.
