Does anyone know if the OCRef pin is 5 volts? I see the 7 open collector pins and a ground.
Thanks,73

I also looked at this but wasn’t sure. If it is 5 volts, it sure would make it easy for a bcd output setup. Hopefully someone will let us know.

Yes it would. I'm trying to connect to a Yaesu Quadra VL-1000 for auto band selecting.

The output IC on this interface on ALL Apache hardware, from the Hermes to the Orion MKII, is a TI ULN2003AD. The OCREF signal is connected to the COM pin of that IC. You can use any voltage you care to up to the maximum rating of the chip, which is 50V.
Although the Orion MKII schematics remain unavailable from anywhere except Apache directly, if you look at any of the schematics posted in the schematics section of this forum you will see how the connections to the ULN2003AD are arranged. Again it is the same for all models and boards. For the ULN2003AD data sheet just Google the part number.

Also, I just searched for "quadra" on the forum here and found this:

I'll take that as a "NO".
