Difficulty calibrating the power meter on ANAN 100D..

Postby Thierry » Sat Dec 09, 2023 9:53 am

Hello?

I encounter problems on 6m band for the calibration of the power meter (100w meter trim) of the power from 10w to 60w the calibration is easy, from 70w I find myself having more and more instability. The needle is not stable to go to a complete instability of calibration at 100w (100W PA REV24).
The problem is both on Thetis and on PowerSdr mrx and protocol 1 or 2...

I tested a calibration on 15m band ( between 160 and 6m)
and there the problem is less visible but it remains.

Have you also noticed this problem?

I don't think your supposed to do more than 50W on 6M.
Others have recommended that limit for FT8 too. I will admit I was using 100W for a while on my 100D -- probably more of a problem with JT9 than FT8.

Hello Michael,

And thank you for your comments, indeed the consumption of the Alex card is very important over 6m...
it is prudent to stay at 50w max.
