Hi,
Can someone point me to information on the wiring and setup for using Pure Signal with the 7000DLE (original version) and an amplifier.
I know that I need a 60dB coupler, but beyond that I don't know where I should direct the sample output of the coupler. I see Rob W1AEX has info on rewiring a 100 and adding a relay, but I'm not sure if that would apply to the 7000DLE.

Re: Pure Signal original 7000DLE and amp
You do not need or want a 60dB coupler. For a 1500W amplifier a 50dB coupling factor is optimum. For a 500W amplifier a 46dB coupling factor is optimum. However 60dB will work if that's all you have. For more detail on how these numbers are arrived at, see here: viewtopic.php?f=20&t=2384
Wiring is simple: apply the feedback signal to the Bypass port. Again, as per the above referenced topic, do NOT exceed +13dBm at maximum power.
Setup is simple: in Thetis go to Setup > General > Ant/Filters/Antenna and turn on the following two options:
- ATT on Tx
- Rx BYPASS on Tx
On the main console, ensure that the PS-A button is enabled. To test it remember that audio must frequently and reliably reach or exceed 0dB ALC on the ALC Group meter. This is easily achieved using the Two-Tone (2TON) test signal with the "Use Drive Slider" option enabled (Setup > Tests).
