What a turn off when interested in ordering a radio from the Apache website. Do you think someone can at least update the info for the Andromeda? "Andromeda is now in Production with an estimated ship time of May 2021 for Preorders and June for new orders, you are paying a $2000 deposit to reserve your place in the Order Queue. Remanining payment will be charged when your order is ready to ship" SERIOUSLY!

Complaining in this thread is not likely to result in the Apache website getting updated.

Anyone heard updates on the 8000DLE? Ordered one plus the power supply in Dec 2022. Except for receiving the invoice, I’ve heard nothing.

Nothing heard here. Ordered my 8000 DLE Mk2 on 1 Oct. ‘22.

The “six week shipping delay” from last December “22 has run its course and yet no further word from on high.

Hell of way to run a company.

shipping orders delayed till first week of April, 23.

By the time anyone receives the 8000 DLE MKII it will be a year old design, There will be an extra one for someone else in the December group I just canceled my order. Apache Labs needs to get their act together. I waited 1 1/2 years for an Andromeda and canceled that order. Moving on.

I hear you JR. Sorry you never received your Andromeda. I’m sure glad you sold me your 7000 DLE mkII i7. The advertising lead times on the website are ludicrous if not criminal. I ordered a Controller 2 last November and have received no contact whatsoever since. This While the ordering page shows a two week lead time. I’m with JR, the products are great performers but good luck receiving them!

Any news on FPGA Cyclon V that are the only components missing to enable shippments of new 8000 DLE MkII?

FINAL PAYMENT INVOICE? So, Abhi said the first batch of 8000 transceivers would go out the “first week of April.” His statement about assuring us of “no further delays” and that those of us awaiting our 8000 from the first batch, would definitely have our radio shipped by April 7th, was so Definitive that I was a little shocked, but thrilled. However, that leaves us with 5 “work week” days. I’ve not received an Invoice for my Final Payment - I’m wondering if anyone has? If not, does anyone have any updates or new information? This is not a complaint, just a quest for information.

ANAN 8000 DLE MKII Order Update: I just received this (April 3rd - 01:18 UTC).

Dear All,

I wanted to provide a quick update on your ANAN-8000DLE MKII order,

The FPGAs have been shipped from an alternate supplier and are expected to be delivered on the 7th at the factory, this completes all parts backlog in order to complete the assembly of the radio.

The factory will be working through Easter and we will ship all orders on the 24th of April, we will commence invoicing your order and shipping charges on the 22/23rd. Please keep an eye out for the invoice.

If you have ordered a Power Supply unit it will ship along with the Radio.

Again thank you all for your patience with us, it is much appreciated.

Can we interpret Abhi's phrase "alternate supplier" as meaning Xilinx and therefore assume the new 8000s will be running Saturn SDR boards instead of Orion?

Who knows?
Maybe the meaning of the phrase is that Intel Cyclon V FPGAs will be delivered by another distributor...

That seems pretty unlikely.

Just checking to see if anyone has received the final billing invoice for the 8000 dle yet . Like many I have been waiting in anticipation for it and hope It does not end up in the bit bucket where invoices go to die.
Hopefully the vendor problems are starting to slow and Anan can get down to the business of building and shipping their fine product. Using a 7000 dle here and can't wait for the 500 watt to fill the extra space on the desk. This product should be a real winner for everyone, customers and the company alike.

John, I’m a MEGA Apache Labs fan (I’ve purchased 3 of the ANAN 7000 DLE MKII transceivers) and I only use ANANs in the shack. But it is already Monday morning (April 24) in both India and Australia, so I’m feeling very disappointed. Abhi’s email said invoices would be sent out on the 22nd & 23rd, and shipping would take place on Monday, the 24th. It doesn’t appear that is going to be reality. His email was very definitive, so while I’ve always waited patiently, for the first time I feel “very disappointed.” And so, we wait.

"The last batch of Cyclone V devices received by us have a hardware issue which cannot be resolved, hence they have recalled the devices." ..... "The early purchasers will be switched over to the ANAN-G2-1K 1000W Transceiver."

He goes on to promise a June delivery. Personally, I am thrilled with this development.

Would be nice if they do ship before July. I'm very much looking forward to my first Anan.

Sadly I'm going to guess they will be another delay due to cooling issues with the PA section. It's just really hard to believe they have a way to cool a 1k radio if in fact they are going to use the 8000dle II chassis.. I really hope not though.

I am quite sure I will light first candle birthday from my order, in August 2022, before receiving the G2 1k.

Still waiting on my order placed on 05 Dec, 2022 for the ANAN-8000DLE MKII . Any updates? Was told I would be receiving the G2 from the below message I received on Aug 28, 2023. But since then no comments on my order.

We want to provide you with an update on the status of your order and the steps we are taking to ensure the highest quality product for you.

Issue Causing Delay: The delay in fulfilling your order was caused by an unforeseen issue with a critical component of the amplifier design. Specifically, the DC switch used in the 1000W amplifier (to safeguard against high SWR, high temperature, over/under voltage, etc.), experienced unexpected supply chain challenges. We had initially chosen the BTS500851TMAATMA1 High Current DC switch from Infineon Technologies, but unfortunately, the supply of this part was delayed twice by the supplier. Despite our efforts, we have been informed that the manufacturer has now obsoleted this part.

Solution: To address this setback, we had proactively pursued an alternative plan to ensure the quality and performance of the ANAN-G2-1K SDR. We had designed a backup solution involving a high-current, low-resistance MOSFET-based DC switch version of the Pallet board. This solution has been rigorously tested, and we are in the process of manufacturing the updated PCB design to incorporate this change. Additionally, we are excited to share that we have taken advantage of this time to enhance the amplifier's cooling system. We have replaced the existing heatsink with a state-of-the-art bonded fin heatsink from Wakefield Thermal. This advancement increases heat dissipation capacity by over 300%, therefore, allowing for a much quieter cooling fan and at the same time increasing the transmitter ruggedness.

Revised Timeline: We want to be transparent about the timeline moving forward. We anticipate receiving the updated pallet card within the next 8 weeks, and the upgraded heatsinks are projected to arrive within 6 weeks. With these essential components in place, we are targeting to initiate shipping of the ANAN-G2-1K orders starting October 30th. We assure you that every effort is being made to expedite this process while maintaining the utmost quality standards.

We want to sincerely thank you for your patience and understanding throughout this delay. We understand that you are excited to receive your ANAN-G2-1K SDR, and we share that excitement with you. However, please know that our primary commitment is to deliver a product that meets our highest standards of performance, reliability, and innovation. As a first-of-its-kind product, we are dedicated to ensuring that every aspect of the ANAN-G2-1K meets or exceeds your expectations.

You may be aware that the G2-100W model has already shipping for over a month now and since the G2-1K uses the same Saturn platform this time also allows for user feedback on the software and for the development team to iron out the bugs. The development team have already released updated versions of the firmware and Thetis to address some initially reported minor issues. As a result when the G2-1K ships the software will should be quite mature.
