Hi All,

We would like to inform you that due to some additional time required for both the software and hardware, our original shipment date of the 22nd of May will now have to be amended, and we are looking at starting the shipment from the 10th of June.

We are working hard to finalise the software (PiHPSDR and Thetis) to ensure that you receive high-quality products that display consistently superior performance. We understand that this delay may cause some inconvenience to your purchasing plans, and we would like to apologise for any inconvenience.

I would like to thank Rick, N1GP and Laurence, G8NJJ for their work in bringing the Saturn SDR platform to fruition.

Rick, N1GP has added a direct XDMA (PCIe) interface for PiHPSDR. This increases the efficiency and performance when running significantly. Rick has also added the G2 front panel support in PiHPSDR.

Many thanks to Laurence, G8NJJ for his work with the Saturn firmware, P2 APP and developing several other utilities such as the Flash Programmer (FPGA), Microphone test app and other utilities.

We will continue to stay in touch with you and keep you updated. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any concerns or questions.

When you say "Starting" shipments, does that mean everyone who's ordered one will get theirs shipped on the 10th June or will it be a slow trickle of units over the space of weeks/months/years?

I would like to Request if you can Keep the Community up to date on a weekly progress of Bringing every thing together, I think this would alleviate the Anxiety and the second Guessing of us G2 100 future Owners, Thank you, respectfully

shows order changed to G2 at bottom of order page, but that's all, Tony said that's all needed. top of order still shows 7000.
may sell flex, not for sure

on another but same note! anyone received a 7000 or any other radio since first of March?

It could easily be this fall . That software stuff can give you fits! Just ask the software developers for Flex Hihi Just one little opps and the radio will work for weeks then lockup . Then back to Flex ! Would rather wait on the radio and not go through what I did with flex flex was a great company to work with, but darn software and SDR cards .

From projected date of June 10th, it is about time for those who ordered to receive notifications to pay the difference or at least some notification if done.

Does anyone remember this TV commercial from the 70's I think the applies to the new radios

Hi All,

We wanted to provide a shipping update on the ANAN-G2 100W radios.
Thanks to Laurence G8NJJ, Rick N1GP, Warren NR0V, Doug W5WC we now have fully operational versions of PiHPSDR and Thetis for the G2.

Please note that the above links to the source code is FYI and we will release the binaries shortly after further testing next week.
I am very thankful to Laurence for writing the various test and utility apps such as the Biascheck app, Codectest app this will immensely help and streamline the hardware testing and integration.

Also many thanks to Rick, N1GP for his work with PiHPSDR. Rick has added support for dual clients to the Saturn/G2 based radios where you can operate both PiHPSDR and Thetis concurrently, two independent receivers can be run on each client. Please note that this feature needs some further work such as to figure out how to use the Rx front end filtering in case the OP is using multiple bands etc, however, the functionality is there.

The software side of the G2 is now production ready as of this week and the factory is in the process of installing the code on to the hardware. This involves:
1. loading the FPGA image and the backup image
2. Installing the PiOS on the internal CM4 and the various drivers and apps required such as PiHPSDR.
3. Testing the install.

The electronics is ready and sample testing of the production lot is complete, all the hardware sub-assemblies such as the Saturn Board, The PA/Filter Board are ready and we are awaiting delivery of the chassis from our contract manufacturer.
We expect to receive the chassis next week from the CM after which the final assembly of the first batch will take place, we expect to ship out the preorders from the 26th of June.

As mentioned above the time-consuming task of the initial Firmware/Software installation will be complete by the time we receive the chassis next week.

Since this is a brand new design with the mechanicals being volume manufactured for the first time there were a few hiccups with the mechanical fitment which our CM had to correct. I apologize for the delay, however, we would like to make sure everything is perfect before we ship the G2s out to you.

What about the poor guys that ordered a 500W 8000DLE MKII way back in August 2022?
Surely, they are not being asked to now go to the back of the queue.

Yes, something is fishy here. The dealers are not been updated either. I am assuming as wanting to get into good sales, stores should have been updated too, or deserve the best information they can have to give customers. I ordered in October 6, 2022 at the store, but still no news at all from Apache Labs to them, so no information to me either.

I got very sad news to me today. Dont know about others. The store where I placed the order in October 2022, sent me an email that the radio is on a 2 year availability delay. Therefore, no longer being offered by the store.

Contact Apache Labs show them a copy of you invoice and they may be able to get you back in the cue.
