ANAN-G2 Shipping Update

Hi all, sorry for not updating sooner.

I Ordered my G2 100 no front panel on April 10th, I received it on August 9th, so it was a 4 month wait. For those of you waiting, I am fairly sure it is on the way. I was scheduled to arrive on the 7th, but there must have been a slight delay, most probably with customs.

Hello everyone,

On 09/06/2023 I ordered an ANAN-7000DLE MKII 100W HF & 6M (BlackEdition) when it was available on the site.
I paid the pre-order, but since then I've had no news about my order and the product is no longer available for sale.

So, do I switch to an ANAN-G2? Or will the 7000 still be produced?

Does anyone have any information on this subject ?

By the way.... my G2, without lcd, will be shipped next week. At least, that has been promised to me.....

We understand that you've been eagerly anticipating the arrival of your ANAN-G2-1K SDR order, and we greatly appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. We want to provide you with an update on the status of your order and the steps we are taking to ensure the highest quality product for you.

Issue Causing Delay: The delay in fulfilling your order was caused by an unforeseen issue with a critical component of the amplifier design. Specifically, the DC switch used in the 1000W amplifier (to safeguard against high SWR, high temperature, over/under voltage, etc.), experienced unexpected supply chain challenges. We had initially chosen the BTS500851TMAATMA1 High Current DC switch from Infineon Technologies, but unfortunately, the supply of this part was delayed twice by the supplier. Despite our efforts, we have been informed that the manufacturer has now obsoleted this part.

Solution: To address this setback, we had proactively pursued an alternative plan to ensure the quality and performance of the ANAN-G2-1K SDR. We had designed a backup solution involving a high-current, low-resistance MOSFET-based DC switch version of the Pallet board. This solution has been rigorously tested, and we are in the process of manufacturing the updated PCB design to incorporate this change. Additionally, we are excited to share that we have taken advantage of this time to enhance the amplifier's cooling system. We have replaced the existing heatsink with a state-of-the-art bonded fin heatsink from Wakefield Thermal. This advancement increases heat dissipation capacity by over 300%, therefore, allowing for a much quieter cooling fan and at the same time increasing the transmitter ruggedness.

Revised Timeline: We want to be transparent about the timeline moving forward. We anticipate receiving the updated pallet card within the next 8 weeks, and the upgraded heatsinks are projected to arrive within 6 weeks. With these essential components in place, we are targeting to initiate shipping of the ANAN-G2-1K orders starting October 30th. We assure you that every effort is being made to expedite this process while maintaining the utmost quality standards.

We want to sincerely thank you for your patience and understanding throughout this delay. We understand that you are excited to receive your ANAN-G2-1K SDR, and we share that excitement with you. However, please know that our primary commitment is to deliver a product that meets our highest standards of performance, reliability, and innovation. As a first-of-its-kind product, we are dedicated to ensuring that every aspect of the ANAN-G2-1K meets or exceeds your expectations.

You may be aware that the G2-100W model has already shipping for over a month now and since the G2-1K uses the same Saturn platform this time also allows for user feedback on the software and for the development team to iron out the bugs. The development team have already released updated versions of the firmware and Thetis to address some initially reported minor issues. As a result when the G2-1K ships the software will should be quite mature.

My apologies, we are still waiting for the NUC, it is expected to be here on Tuesday. So sorry for the inordinate delay in getting these to you. I will follow up with the supplier and make sure it’s shipped out on Tuesday or latest by Wednesday if we receive the unit after cutoff for the courier.

All too familiar story here.

I know of one ANAN owner who has not received a straight answer from Apache Labs for over 8 months. Keeps getting told the ANAN has been packed and will be shipped that afternoon or the following day and a tracking number will be provided. Another few weeks go by no tracking or email communications. Then an email from Apache Labs comes out saying that they are waiting on a part that is out of stock? WHAT!

Then months down the track, yet another email from Apache Labs advising that your radio is being collected by the courier (in VK) and will be shipped in the morning, you will received a tracking number. A week goes by, no tracking number or email to say its been shipped. Then there is an email from Apache Labs saying that your radio will be shipped to you once its received in VK once it has left India? WTF?

All this and its not a new radio but a warranty repair. Just ridiculous. Apache Labs, be honest with your customers about the status of their purchased products.

Hi all,

My G2 headless just arrived. It took 3 weeks delay at the Dutch
customs. Had to call several times to Fedex.
Ordered on July 18th, shipped September 13th, arrived oktober 11th.
The G2 works plug and play on thetis. Just had to change the ip adress of
the G2 network interface.

So far, no one has received any updates on the status of the G2 1000 watt Saturn radios. There is a post somewhere here explaining that delivery is delayed till they receive some needed parts for production to start. I believe, that post mentioned they expect delivery of those parts sometime this month.
I hope for yours and other buyers sake, that holds true. It's too bad they don't respond well to emails or other inquiries about the status of the 1000 watt radios. But, then again, they don't seem to do that for much of anything else.
If it were me, I would have either canceled altogether by now, or switched to the 100 watt G2 Saturn and bought an external amplifier if I wanted more than 100 watts output.
Personally, I think the 1000 watt radios are going to have their own unique set of issues. That much RF power in the same case with the rest of the radio might be a problem getting right.

If you cannot get a response from your emails, you should be able to go to whatever service you used for payment and request a refund through them. There should be information from your payment provider how to do this.
