Starting January 2023, Apache is now shipping 7000 and Andromeda units with a third type of FPGA. The 7000 units are marked "MKIII" on the front panel.

At this point everyone who has some version of the 7000, 8000 or Andromeda must carefully inspect their hardware in order to determine what type of FPGA it contains and therefore what version of Protocol 2 firmware is required, as follows:
Hardware using the EP4CGX150F896 Cyclone IV series FPGA
- ANAN-8000DLE (original version, 200W, not MKII)
- ANAN-7000DLE (original version, not MKII or MKIII)
- ANAN-7000DLE MKII, no serial number or serial number lower than DX8300497A
- Andromeda with serial number lower than DX8300497A (only 5 units built)
