Forum going slow

I there some sort of ongoing bot/attack? The forums have been slow for a few days, and the thread view count on certain threads seems to be rising very quickly.

The thread viewtopic.php?f=9&t=4917 for example now has over 35k views which I find hard to believe, an extra 10k since yesterday.

I've noticed the slowdown as well, and it's been getting worse over the last couple of days.

I have contacted the appropriate folks and we'll see what happens.

Apache contracts out their web hosting.

Not sure my report to the Apache hosting folks had anything to do with it, but the forum seems back to normal as of 22 Dec. Anyone disagree?

yes, seems to be much better now 17:18 utc 22/12/23. It seemed like only a couple of threads were getting hammered with view counts going crazy. Perhaps scraped from facebook or some such.
